A morning meditation starts the day slowly and intentionally. Within this practice, you will find guidance to soften and relax into yourself, rest in the energy of the day, and create more peace in your life. I hope this finds you well on your journey, especially in seasons where you may feel overwhelmed. Thank you for listening, and I hope you have a beautiful practice.

Transcript

Arriving into a new day can feel overwhelming,

So let's begin here by slowing down.

Arriving first where your sick bones meet the earth,

Unclenching jaw,

Relaxing any tension in your body,

Allowing yourself to be held in this new day just as you are.

Sink the mind and the body,

Exhale,

Six,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One,

And just allowing your breath to deepen,

Really feel it in your lower belly,

Maybe even placing your palms over your lower belly first and foremost.

Becoming aware of any thought,

The future,

Even about here and now at a table out in front of you.

Notice how you're sitting at the head of the table,

That they are here with you,

And as you acknowledge each thought or story,

Maybe even an emotion,

They begin to walk away.

You just acknowledge them.

They become a little bit more quiet.

And you sit back and relax in your chair,

And you allow the edges of your body to soften,

Into the space all around you.

And the thoughts,

They may come,

They may go.

The emotions may wave through.

This is a practice of accepting you,

Noise and all,

Peace and all.

You are doing an amazing job softening,

Like you would soften your entire body.

What is here within,

What is here around you?

So following your in-breath,

That desire to be perfect and just be for a while.

It's touching every cell,

Every muscle,

Every part.

You are safe,

Safe to be here,

Safe to unravel.

Notice your sit bones heavy on the earth.

The sounds,

The music,

The sounds of this brand new day.

Thanking yourself for being here.

Checking in and slowing down.

Moving through the day at this pace will work itself out.

It all stems within.

So placing your palms over your heart.
