Jessica is passionate about creating an open-hearted learning environment accessible to everyone. She believes meditation and mindfulness help you embrace yourself with compassion and grace, as well as encourage you to rewrite your personal narrative through deep emotional and psychological healing so you can live a life of peace, clarity, and joy. Through the power of acceptance and non-judgment, Jessica’s teachings are heartfelt and conversational. Her teachings and meditations are off the cuff, fueled by her desire for you to feel like you are connecting intimately with a safe and trustworthy friend. She hopes you feel deeply supported and valued through her teachings and meditations, as well as encouraged to trust yourself to heal and grow in accordance with your own inner guidance. I was hoping this would help me become more present, but it didn’t work for me. From my perspective, it seemed the instructor was mostly talking about the importance of being present without really explaining how for those of us who have a hard time with this. It was agonizing. Also, the “relaxing” music was depressing. I kept thinking of standing over a casket or someone’s grave. For those who can already get into that state of mind with a little prompting, this course may have worked fine.
