This course was very helpful. However, three classes at the end for breath work was much. I think those could have been confined to one class, but other than that, the other seven classes were extremely helpful and those classes were about completely different topics.

I've been a medical massage therapist for 17 years, and I've come to appreciate the value of energetic work. I have always been interested in science and scientific study, so it was difficult in the beginning to even believe this kind of "energy" existed. But in the beginning of my career, I learned very quickly how easy it is to take on the energy of my clients, sometimes leaving me in physical pain at the end of the day, or if I had worked with a particularly negative or stressed person, I would often feel physically ill. Once I learned to create an "energetic bubble" at the beginning of my day, I found that I could allow positive energy to flow through it, both to and from the client, but block the negative. I know energy work can seem kind of "woo-woo" to people who are new to it, but even as a science-minded Christian, I recommend learning about it. As for my 4 star rating of this course, I found most of it to be helpful, but the last 3 lessons consist solely of breathwork instruction, which I didn't need because I'm already familiar with it. And finally, my favorite thing about this instructor is her willingness and ability to combine principles of my Christian faith with the beliefs and practices of Eastern philosophy. Sometimes as I work with other yoga or meditation instructors, I have to mentally substitute my own principles in place of some being taught. This instructor does a good job of honoring the original principles of Eastern thought while creating an inviting space for those of us from Western religions.

I liked learning about the different types of breathing meditations and will continue to experiment with these. As someone with medical reasons for brain fog I found some statements about causes/efficacy went a bit far, but I was able to overlook these and take value from the parts that suited me. Thank you for the course.

I really recommend this course. I thought it was a really good. So much advice that really resonates. The eight life skills are all brilliant. The only reason that I gave it 4 not five stars was because of the breathing. I found this hard but as she says that is because it is what I most need. I still find it hard but will keep practicing. Thank you for a great course.
