Its not about never having an argument that makes a healthy relationship. To me its more about how fast you can come back to a sense of connection and love again when you feel disconnected. But when I have found myself it can be really hard to reconnect due to emotional wounding and the fears that occurs in our nervous systems. In these moments we need something to hold on to, and this exercise can be that.
This guided communication exercise is really good for this and you can do this often to strengthen your relationship or friendship.

To Be Of Service To What You Love
It is sometimes hard to love when we feel hurt, pain and separation. These moments when we justify, judge, defend and rather want to be right than be free. What I have notice is that the pain actually comes from me closing my heart and my natural essence of being of service to what I love. You might have all the reasons why you should not open your heart and give of you love again, but how do you actually feel following that voice. That is when our devotion to love need to step in and get back to the service of what we love. This lesson will support you to find these things and an action that you can take going forward from today in a more loving way. What Can I Offer You Right Now? - Somatic Couple Experience
Lets practice one of my absolute favorite exercises when it comes to touch and intimacy. To use the body and touch is a beautiful way to reconnect both to love. Just follow the guidance during these short minutes with a partner and it can really be a healing moment. The intimacy is often an area that we do not want to talk about when it is not working so well. A lot of shame and guilt both as man and woman when things do not work and it becomes something that is a big pressure and the relaxation in the nervous system needed for close intimate connection is not there. I know that this exercise then can be a great way to rebuild trust and intimate connection in a safe and structured way. Really hope you try it a few times and share your experience if you want. Eye Gazing - A Classic That Is Worth Keeping
Some say that its through the eyes that we can see each others souls. This guided eye gazing will support you to have your own experience of this with a friend or partner. This can also be done in a mirror with yourself. It can surely be challenging in the beginning to not make fun of the moment and dare to just be in front of each other, with nothing to say or do. I always welcome humor and laughter if that comes but also let yourself rest in your face and body to give yourself a chance to experience the depth of this exercise. Another important note on this is that the experience of the eye gazing really changes from time to time so give it a few tries and journal on your insights from doing it.
