You can find yourself a comfortable position.

You can sit or lay down,

Whatever feels comfortable to you.

And you can close your eyes.

And start to see yourself in your mind's eye,

Walking down a gravel road.

You're dressed in a raincoat that reaches far down,

All the way down to your rubber boots.

And you're walking slowly,

Feeling safe and warm under your raincoat.

And you can hear the rain fall heavily and hitting your raincoat.

But then you realize that it's not actually rain that falls on you where you walk.

It's actually thoughts,

Ideas,

Concepts.

They come from somewhere and then they hit you.

But you just let them hit you and then you let them find their own way down on your rainclothes and down into the ground.

So there's really nothing you have to do about them.

Just let them come and let them go.

And when you're walking down this gravel road,

You lift your gaze and you see a small house,

Like a cabin,

And there's a warm,

Welcoming light from the window.

You walk towards it and you take a few steps up on the porch outside the house.

You find yourself under a small roof.

And you realize with some ease that the thoughts,

The raindrop of thoughts,

No longer hit you.

They hit the roof above you and they pour down on the side of the roof.

Before you step into the cabin,

You take up your raincoat.

You watch it dripping with thoughts and ideas and concepts and you hang it on a hook next to the entrance door.

You also take off your rubber boots because you're leaving your thoughts and your ideas about yourself outside.

And you open the door and step in.

And you can feel the warmth from the house and you can feel the feeling of coming home.

Of unconditional peace that's just there.

And you can feel that your body is starting to relax.

And there's no one in the cabin except you,

But you can hear that there's a fire.

So you're walking towards the room,

The big room with the fire and you find that in front of this open fire that cracks and sparks,

There's a pillow.

And you walk over there and you sit down.

And you just let yourself relax.

You can feel how your face is just relaxing in the warmth of the fire.

You can feel your jaw dropping.

And your breath becoming slow and calm,

Reaching deep into your body,

Making your belly expand and contract in the pace and in the way that your body wants it to.

You can also let your shoulders fall down.

And just let your hands rest heavily in your lap.

And in this space you can just observe your experience of yourself without your ideas and thoughts.

The experience of who you are without right or wrong,

Good or bad.

That's the raw experience of you here and now.

If there's still some thoughts coming,

Just let them be.

Let them be like raindrops just moving down your body.

Let the warmth of the fire just make them vanish.

And then come back to the focus of just being you.

And in this stillness,

In this calmness that you are,

Let everything come.

Whatever feeling,

Whatever it is that's coming in you.

Make it feel welcome.

If there's joy,

If there's happiness coming,

See it as a friend,

An old friend and in the body to sit next to you in front of the warmth of the fire.

But also if it's sadness,

If it's loneliness,

If there's anger,

Whatever comes,

Open your arms and say you're welcome here and let it have a seat next to you.

But also let it go when it wants to.

Unhappiness,

Sadness,

Loneliness,

Gratitude,

Let it flow as it wants to in you.

Come and go as it does.

Because you find yourself sitting there on your pillow,

Calm and at ease.

Continue to sit in this way as long as you want to.

And just be and with curiosity finally see yourself.

Thank you, it was really great! And the idea is amazing – I literally felt my thoughts like rain and noise and after it was so calm and quiet – I will definitely use this visualization! 🙏💚🙏
