And so as you move your body into this Shavasana position,
Resting on the ground,
Legs bent or straight as you wish,
Whatever feels better,
Or your back,
Tune in please to the support beneath you,
The earth,
A stillness with so much activity within.
And you resting on this still earth with all of her activity,
And your body going softer,
Feeling the support and as you find it,
Noticing that in your own stillness,
There's so much activity within,
And we're going to navigate through this activity,
Using the map of the chakras.
Let's do some very gentle movement to feel this activity creating motion,
Where the body moves in space,
And so with a nice in-breath,
Nothing more than just bringing your arms up and overhead,
And maybe wiggling those fingers as you do.
And on your out-breath,
Nothing more than bringing the arms down to your sides and softening the fingers very intentionally as you do.
And maybe we'll do that a few more times with your in-breath,
Wiggling those fingers,
Feel the motion of hands,
Air around the hands,
Arms,
Arms moving down with an out-breath,
Fingers soft,
New relationship with air and ground.
Continue like that,
Please,
With your breath,
Maybe one or two more,
There's no rush,
There's just this movement in the stillness,
And there's stillness in the movement,
Too.
And when you finish this one,
Let your arms rest,
And your hands can rest,
And tune in,
Please,
To that inner hum of life,
The activity of life within you.
Maybe you sense the beat of the heart,
The pulsation of blood.
Maybe you feel some of the gyrations and twists of digestion in the belly,
And it's rise and fall,
You are so still,
And this movement goes on,
Give your attention to perceiving it,
Please,
And recalling a word or intention,
A word to guide you,
We're going to move our awareness through a variety of places in this humming body,
Allow the body's hum to respond in its way,
To your intention,
Allow ourselves to be surprised in the stillness,
And be surprised by the activity in the stillness,
Please bring your awareness to the soles of the feet,
And the ankles,
Feel the vibration of life in the soles of the feet,
And the ankles,
Calves,
And shin bones,
Alive and humming,
Knees,
Thighs,
Humming with life,
And the tip of the tailbone,
And the pelvis,
Active in the stillness,
And the belly,
And the spine behind the belly,
And the spine behind the lungs,
And the chest,
And the heart and lungs in the chest,
Pulsing,
Beating,
Rising and falling,
And the spine of the neck,
And the throat,
And the shoulders,
Vibration of life in the arms,
In the lower arms and wrists,
Pulsing,
Humming,
Alive in the stillness,
And the head,
Mouth,
The jaw,
From the jaw into the canals of the ears,
Ears alive,
The hum of life in the ears,
And the cheeks,
The forehead,
The crown of the head,
And the nose,
And the breath in the nose,
Recalling the intention,
Word like a guide,
A vibration that meets the vibration of this whole body,
And as you breathe in,
Follow the breath please,
From the nose to the center of the head,
From the center of the head to the tip of the nose,
Breathing in,
From the tip of the nose to the center of the head,
Alive,
And breathing out,
Center of the head to the tip of the nose,
Now breathing in,
From the nose,
Center of the head,
To the base of the throat,
And breathing out,
From the base of the throat,
Center of the head,
To the nose,
Again,
Feeling the breeze of the breath,
Feeling the stillness of the body,
And the hum of life,
And deepening the breath,
Watching it move from the nose to the center of the head,
To the throat,
To the heart center,
The center of your chest,
And from there,
Back the way it came,
The energy of the breath,
Meeting the vitality of the body,
The vitality of the body,
Meeting the energy of the breath,
And deeper,
Breathing in,
From the nose to the head,
Throat,
Heart,
To the space behind the belly button,
Letting the breath,
Nose,
Head,
Throat,
Heart,
Exhaling,
Belly,
Heart,
Throat,
The breeze of the breath,
Moving through the activity in this still body,
And deeper,
All the way down to the low belly,
And letting the breath return,
Low belly,
And then deepening still,
From the nose,
Breath,
To the head,
To the throat,
To the heart,
And belly button,
Low belly,
To the tip of the tailbone,
And then letting the breath depart the way it came,
From the root,
To the low belly,
Navel,
Heart,
And the stillness,
The activity of the breath creates a path,
The energy opens,
The hum shifts.
Breathe like this,
From the nose to the root,
From the root to the nose,
And onto this path,
Invite the word,
Let the word travel on the breeze of the breath,
Along this path,
Like wind moving through trees,
Or across a lake,
The word travels in and down,
And the word travels with the breath,
Up,
And now we'll release control of the breath,
And we'll bring our awareness to the tip of the tailbone,
The body is still,
The hum of life persists,
Vibrates,
And our attention rests now,
At the hum,
Tip of the tailbone,
Nothing to do but observe,
Open your senses within,
Feel the hum at the root,
And listen,
Gently lift your awareness to the low belly,
Like a traveler,
Just taking a couple of steps,
To a new vantage point,
Rest your attention here,
Observe the movement in the stillness,
Listen,
Gently guiding your awareness to the space behind the belly button,
Open,
Observe,
Listen,
Please move your awareness to the space of the heart center,
And listen,
And observe,
Gently guide your awareness to the base of the throat,
In this stillness,
Listen for the hum,
Observe,
Gently move your awareness to the space at the center of the head,
Please bring your awareness now to the crown of your head,
At this crown of the head,
Now,
See a light,
Allow this light to pour down of the spine,
Now,
Light,
Meaning hum,
Meaning breath,
Let the light pour through you,
Now,
Holding the body,
The earth,
A stillness,
Alive,
Holding the stillness of your body,
Alive,
And welcome in some very small movements,
Movements in the fingers,
The deepening breath,
Moving the chest and belly,
Movement in the toes,
Body finding movement as expression,
Maybe the eyes opening,
Maybe the tongue circling in the mouth,
Maybe the head turning gently from side to side,
Noticing that there can be stillness even as you begin to move in the movement,
The movement continues,
And return to your word,
Your intention,
And give yourself a moment to acknowledge what you observed,
What you learned in the stillness,
The movement within the stillness,
And then please finding your way to the room where you are,
There's no rush,
Moving your body as you like,
And as you're ready,
Finding your way all the way up to a comfortable seat,
And perhaps as you move to this comfortable seat,
You recall all that you're moving,
The alive energy,
The breath,
