A 2-minute grounding practice called "Minute to Arrive"—a supportive way to start team meetings or recenter yourself throughout the workday. You'll be guided through a check-in with your thoughts, body sensations, and intention. Created for nonprofit professionals and changemakers who are new to meditation, this practice shows how quickly you can calm a busy mind without needing lots of time or experience. When this practice is used to start meetings, it gives everyone a chance to arrive more fully and show up with greater presence. I'm a non-profit leader, leadership coach, and meditation teacher who is on a mission to help changemakers stop sacrificing their well-being for the work. I appreciate you practicing with me and refilling your cup! I'd love to hear your feedback in the comments.

Transcript

I welcome you to close your eyes or you can gently lower your gaze.

Let's begin by taking three deep conscious breaths.

Checking in with the thoughts that are visiting you and just noting,

What am I thinking about?

Bringing awareness to the body,

Sensing into whatever physical sensations are here right now.

Turning on the flashlight of attention.

Being as kind and gentle as possible.

And finally,

Checking in with our hearts intention.

For this time together,

What feels important now?

Taking a collective breath together.

Opening your eyes when you're ready and welcoming yourself back to the space.

A nice, quick way to ground myself in between my classes. Thank you for sharing!
