We invite the energy of the earth up through our feet chakras and the energy of the cosmos in through our crown chakras. Melissa will introduce you to running these energies to cleanse and nourish your body and aura.

Hi friends!

With this recording we're going to explore running earth and cosmic energies throughout our bodies.

So go ahead,

Take some breaths,

Get present.

These tools are really great at letting these energies move throughout our bodies.

We call up the energy of the earth through our feet chakras and then we call down the energy of the cosmos through our crown chakra and we can invite in specific colors or energy.

So maybe it's purple and it's nourishing or it's brown and it's grounding.

You can really play with this tool and make it your own and as somebody mentioned in our first class you know earth energy might feel really good or cosmic energy might feel really good and you might resonate more with one than the other and you can tune into what you're needing and what you're wanting and you can run one or both and you can really play with it.

So take some breaths,

Close your eyes,

Get comfortable.

This is one of the ones that I would recommend at least starting sitting on a chair with your soles of your feet on the ground.

If you can be outside in nature sometimes as you do this,

Beautiful,

But don't let it stop you from practicing if you can't.

Softening your belly as you breathe,

Letting your breath expand throughout your body.

And then we'll start by getting grounded.

So breathing into the base of your spine right at your hips and creating a grounding cord.

If you haven't already listened to that meditation you can maybe do that before you do these tools or you can do them separately.

It's totally up to you.

I recommend getting grounded and then running the energies personally.

That feels best for my body but check in with yours.

Letting that grounding cord deepen into the earth,

Making sure it's nice and big and wide and no dinky grounding cords allowed.

Taking a moment to release,

Releasing any energy you're ready to release,

Any emotions that are not yours.

If you're noting any specific areas of your body that are you know feeling really uncomfortable,

Maybe breathing into these spaces.

When we are newer to meditation practice there is unfortunately often an invitation to sit with pain and to sit with discomfort and it can be not very pleasant but when we sit through it and when we feel the energy move and sometimes we're magically better within 15 minutes it's life-changing and we we learn these tools that can really help us with all types of pain and all types of discomfort.

It really can be life-changing in so many beautiful ways.

It absolutely was for me when I learned these tools and and began to really live them.

And breathing into the soles of your feet and letting those grow roots as well.

Continuing to breathe and be more present in your body,

Noticing what is here for you,

What you're feeling,

What you're experiencing.

And I love to see the image of you know our palms are open and we're we're holding these experiences.

We're not gripping,

We're not kind of pushing them away but we're allowing space for every single one of our experiences to be,

To belong,

To be heard,

Witnessed.

And then deep into the earth,

Tuning into an energy that's calling for you.

As I mentioned you might give it a color or a texture,

You can simply just name it as earth energy.

And inviting this energy up your feet chakras,

The soles of your feet and let this earth energy come up your calves and your thighs,

Up your hips,

The front of your body,

Down your shoulders and back.

And then letting any energy that is releasing down that grounding cord and then this cycle continues again up those feet chakras.

And then some of the earth energy will actually kind of loop around your hips and up your upper body.

So there's this cycle of new earth energy coming from your feet chakras.

It's cycling around your body,

Some energy releases down your grounding and some energy loops through in your body.

And breathing here,

Noticing what you experience,

Noticing how you feel.

You might feel really heavy and really embodied.

You might notice that feels really good or you might not like it and that's okay.

You can even kind of play with the dynamics a little bit.

So you can say,

I want to bring in less or I want to bring in more.

And notice how that feels.

We're going to slowly shift to inviting in cosmic energy.

You can let the earth energy continue to run or you can let it release through your body and invite only the cosmic energy.

Play with it.

Notice.

So through our crown chakras at the top of our body,

So right above our heads.

I see them as like a disc,

Almost like a floating disc above our heads.

Reminds me of a CD.

And we're going to invite cosmic energy from deep in the cosmos to come through our crown chakras,

Down our heads,

Down our necks,

Down our shoulders,

Upper back,

Lower back.

And again,

Some of this energy comes down our grounding cord,

Helping us release.

And then some of this energy loops around our hips,

Around our root,

Coming up our stomach,

Our heart space,

Our shoulders,

Around our head,

And continuing those loops.

The energy moves through our arms and our legs and it really just knows where to go.

We don't have to overthink it.

It can be helpful at the beginning if your mind wants something to do to kind of notice the way the energy moves.

But eventually it'll get to the place where you're just setting the intention and you don't have to do or think or,

You know,

Be aware of it at all.

And we are doing these things without our awareness,

Right?

Our souls know,

Our bodies know,

But there's just so much that can be deepened into when we run these energies and connect with these different energies consciously.

So letting this energy move.

And similar to what you did with the earth energy,

Just noticing what you're experiencing.

This might feel really light,

Really airy,

Maybe a little floaty.

Might be vast.

And you might love the feeling or you might not be a fan.

You may run this with earth energy or on its own.

Keep coming back to your breath.

I'll slowly bring this meditation to a close,

But you can stay here and keep running either earth or cosmic or both throughout your body.

Inviting some gentle movements,

Maybe wiggling your toes.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes and come on back.
