This meditation helps you open up to self compassion. By seeing yourself as a part of the whole, your compassion for others become just as important and essential as compassion for yourself. This makes it sustainable for us to care about others and keeps our empathy authentic. This practice is especially beneficial if you see self-compassion as self indulgence or weakness, or if you're feeling blocked or resistant towards it.
