Can you sense in your heart when it speaks to you -- resistance or flow or somewhere in between? Resistance informs. Am I in a threatening situation? Am I in harm? Am I living in my history from a memory that is not the current reality? Tune in, assess and carry on with bravery.

Hello,

Welcome.

Today's meditation is entitled,

Am I in Resistance?

Am I in Resistance?

So,

What does this feel like?

What does it look like?

How does it show up when we are in resistance?

And why do we have resistance?

We have resistance because of a past experience,

Informs our need to protect.

We have resistance because the future is uncertain,

We aren't sure how a certain event will turn out.

So we might have resistance around the unknown.

And we might have resistance because our gut tells us to resist.

And the more we sit in meditation,

We can discern the difference between resistance because of,

Let's call it,

Unconfounded fear.

And resistance around something that is harmful.

So those are good cues to be receiving in the body.

And there might be a range,

A spectrum from extreme not good for us and a gentle little flicker of,

Hmm,

I could probably try this.

So come to your comfortable seat,

Drop into your body.

Take a big belly breath in and a long and soothing weighted breath out.

Inhaling.

And exhaling.

Soothing from within.

Arriving in a very safe and rather generic space where we can observe and experience neutrality.

And the more familiar we are with neutrality,

The better we can know when we're not in neutral.

Sensing it in our bodies,

Getting cues in our mind.

So set the stage for yourself here.

Safe,

Supportive,

Secure,

Foundation.

And then we're going to come back to our body.

And we're going to come back to our body.

And we're going to come back to our body.

Foundation.

And it's amazing that we can actually generate that space,

Cultivate that sense for ourselves to bathe in a safe,

Comfortable and secure place.

Dwelling here more often than not.

And as you design this beautiful,

Safe sanctuary for yourself,

In your mind,

Get detailed with the description and sensations you're experiencing.

Noticing the body where it's feeling open,

Warm and tingly.

These are all signs of safety and expansion.

Take yourself to this place.

Softness,

Freedom.

A thousand percent acceptability.

Appreciation for you.

Who you are in all that you are.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Now,

It's important to note that being in a state of resistance.

Drains our energy.

Wastes a whole lot of our energy.

And it's important to note that being in a state of resistance.

Drains our energy.

Wastes a whole lot of our BTUs.

So if we can quickly discern,

Ah,

This is a necessary resistance or this is a an unnecessary resistance,

Then we can let go of our energy.

If we can quickly discern,

Ah,

This is a necessary resistance,

Then we can let go of our energy.

Then we can let go of our energy.

Then we can let the weight and the pull and the tug and the energy requiring resistance go away.

So we may be mobile,

Agile and forward moving.

Free in our thoughts and actions.

Energy abounds.

So the more we know our own emotionality,

We can quickly toggle.

This is good.

Okay,

Great.

I'll rest in this space.

This is not good.

Okay,

I'll move away from this.

Is my fear real?

Is it old?

An old pattern,

An old story.

Examine.

And release.

We can improve our fitness around this,

Making it easier and effortless to toggle.

Out of a constant state of resistance and into freedom and liberation.

Dropping into the body,

Listen and watch for cues.

Maybe you're envisioning some event in the future or interaction or occurrence future.

Your body is talking to you.

Is this cue meant to protect me?

Or is this an old cue?

That can be retired.

Take a big belly breath in.

And a long and helpful breath out.

Drawing in.

And flashing out.

Excavating and exfoliating any of the old residue that might be trapping your energy.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Breathing in.

And breathing out.

I'm compelled to repeat that sometimes resistance is very important and necessary to warn us against danger.

Listening and acting upon those cues.

So get to know the difference.

Become very intimate with the reality versus the legacy.

Be still and soft.

Namaste.
