This is Day 1 of the 28-Day ONE MINUTE Mindfulness Challenge. Today, we will pay attention to our breath at three different places-- belly, chest and nose. These are short, quick mindfulness exercises for teachers, parents and children to get a taste of what it feels like to commit to the self-care practice of mindfulness every day for 28 days.

Welcome to day 15 of your mindfulness challenge.

For the next seven days,

We will be doing body sensing exercises by paying attention to our breath.

Today,

We'll start by placing both hands on our low belly and feeling our breath there.

No need to change anything.

Just feel your belly move as you breathe,

In and out.

Now bring your hands to your chest and see if you can notice your breath right at your chest.

It may rise and fall.

Maybe you feel your heartbeat.

Lastly,

Bring your hand in front of your mouth,

Just one hand,

And see if you can notice the sensation of your breath on your hand.

The breath could be cool or warm.

Bring your hand to your lap.

Your breath is your superpower,

Your tool that you have at all times to help you when you need to feel more settled and more calm.

Nice work today.
