This is Day 4 of the 28-Day ONE MINUTE Mindfulness Challenge. Today you will find an object and place it in front of you. Can you make your body and mind as still as that object for one minute? These are short, quick mindfulness exercises for teachers, parents and children to get a taste of what it feels like to commit to the self-care practice of mindfulness every day for 28 days.

Welcome to day four of your mindfulness challenge.

Today you will need an object such as a pencil,

Water bottle,

Or toy.

Once you have your object,

Put it right in front of you.

Sit comfortably and take your focus,

Take your eyes right to your object.

I want you to notice all the details you can about your object.

Colors,

The shape of your object.

Is your object smooth or rough?

Is it curved or does it have angles?

Is your object heavy or light?

For the last few moments,

I want to see if you can get your body as still as your object.

Place a hand on your belly,

Take a deep breath in,

Fill your belly,

And blow your breath out.

Nice work.
