This morning meditation is gently rooted in Vedic wisdom and designed for moments when you feel ready to begin again ..quietly and consciously. Rather than striving or setting intentions, the practice invites you to return to awareness, sense the natural flow of prana through the breath, and rest in the clarity of the inner witness. From this stillness, a simple sankalpa may arise ..not as a goal, but as an inner alignment.

Welcome This is a moment to pause and begin again.

In Vedic wisdom,

Beginnings are not marked by dates or declarations.

They arise when awareness returns to itself.

This meditation is not about effort or self-improvement.

Instead,

It's about remembering the quiet clarity that is already present.

So take a comfortable seated position.

Let the spine be upright,

Natural and relaxed.

When you are ready,

Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Let the morning meet you here.

Now the invitation is to take a slow,

Deep breath in and release it fully.

Again,

Inhale gently and exhale allowing the body to soften.

Feel the weight of your body,

The ground beneath you,

The simple support of this moment.

Bring your attention to the breath at the nostril.

Notice the coolness of the inhale,

The warmth of the exhale.

In the Vedic view,

Prana,

Life energy moves with the breath.

You don't need to control it.

Just allow it to flow.

Breathing in and breathing out.

If the mind begins to plan or drift,

Notice that movement gently and return to the breath.

Now let the breath continue naturally.

Shift awareness to the one who is aware of breathing.

The Upanishads call this the Sakshi,

The inner witness.

Quiet.

Unmoving.

Present.

Rest here.

Thoughts may arise,

Memories,

Impulses,

Possibilities.

Let them pass like ripples on water.

You are the stillness beneath them.

Now from this quiet awareness,

Introduce a gentle Sankalpa.

Not a cold,

But an inner orientation.

Silent and affirmative.

Once a foam in your heart,

May my actions arise from clarity.

May my actions arise from clarity.

Or choose another simple line that feels true to you.

Offer it once,

Then release it.

Return to silence and feel the awareness filling the body,

The chest,

Abdomen,

The face softening.

Let presence move from the head into the whole body.

For the next few moments,

Rest as being rather than doing.

Nothing to fix,

Nothing to achieve.

Now begin to notice the sounds around you.

The light of the morning,

The space you are in.

And whenever you are ready to transition,

Gently open your eyes if they are closed.

Carry this clarity into the next movement of your day.

In Vedic understanding,

Right action follows right seeing.
