Hello,

My name is Bill and welcome to your five-minute meditation.

Each five-minute meditation is designed for people who just need a quick reset during their day to focus on themselves,

Take a breather and relax.

This five-minute meditation is all about breathing space,

A practice that you can use anytime,

Anywhere to regain your calm,

Clarity and confidence.

To begin,

Find a place where you won't be disturbed.

Once there,

Find a comfortable position either lying down,

Sitting or standing.

Make sure to choose a posture where you will be as comfortable as possible.

Now relax your neck and shoulders,

Resting your arms by your side.

Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly.

Controlling your breathing helps your body relax,

Calms your mind and settles your heart.

Notice how your chest rises and falls with each breath.

It's okay if your thoughts drift towards something that makes you feel anxious,

Angry or even afraid.

Notice these thoughts as they arise and observe them as if they were mere clouds in the sky.

And just like clouds,

Notice how these uneasy thoughts come and go without lingering,

Moving further and further away with each deep breath you take.

Breathe in and out slowly.

The slower you inhale,

The more your chest expands.

When you exhale,

After allowing your chest to fully expand,

More oxygen will flow to rejuvenate your body as each breath connects you more and more to your own body so you can release the tensions within it.

Take another deep breath in and as you exhale,

Release any stress and tension in your muscles and watch as those uneasy clouds get smaller and smaller until they disappear altogether.

Breathe in and out slowly.

As you do this,

Feel contentment and peace wash over you in your safe space.

Taking these few minutes for yourself is a way to be kind to yourself.

You deserve that.

As you breathe in and out,

Use your breath to anchor yourself in the moment,

Knowing that this time is for you and you alone.

Remember,

Taking just a few minutes to recharge yourself is something you deserve to do for yourself,

Especially when the weight of the world seems particularly heavy.

You can and should congratulate yourself for taking care of the most important person in your life,

You,

And taking all of your negative thoughts and anxious feelings and turning them into power and freedom.

Remember,

Wherever you are,

You are amazing and worthy of being free from anxiety and you are never alone.

Have a wonderful rest of your day or night and I extend my well wishes of healing and of peace to you.

Until next time,

Be well.
