To begin,

Just inviting some stillness into your body,

Allowing your body to become just a little more still than it was in whatever posture you might be in at the moment.

When I do that,

I notice this feeling arising almost automatically that I don't have time for this.

There's too much.

There's just too much on my plate that I need to attend to right now that I could be doing.

There's too much.

And each thing on my plate,

I want to give it the attention and the care that it deserves and requires from me that I know I'm capable of doing.

Right now,

There's too many things.

If I were to put a label on it,

All the whole package,

It just feels like overwhelm.

So I call to mind one thing,

A big thing right now that's on my plate that I care a lot about.

And I just recognize it.

Maybe another thing that's there that I'm responsible for that I know I'm really good at handling.

But just right now don't feel like I can handle it so well.

Right now honoring the fact that the best way to care for myself,

The kind of thing that can be done is if someone were to just come by and intuitively know what to do for me without me saying a word,

Maybe to just take something off of my plate,

Please.

And knowing that maybe that's not possible today.

And perhaps the kindest thing for myself,

I have to do myself.

That might mean letting go just a little bit.

Maybe have some standard I'm upholding maybe have something that really doesn't need to be done in the way that I'm doing.

Maybe asking someone to step in and help.

Right now I'm just picturing and feeling what that would be like for some space for that plate to feel just a little bit lighter.

Space I can do this.

And I don't have to do it all.
