Hello and welcome to this short but mighty meditation to help you move from fear into your own personal power.
My name is Juana and I'm so thrilled you're here.
Begin by finding yourself a safe and quiet space.
If you'd like to go for a walk as you listen,
That's perfectly alright.
Do whatever feels most aligned to you.
If you're staying still,
Go ahead and settle into a position of ease yet wakefulness.
Ensure your spine is tall and straight.
Think tall like a tree.
Close your eyes and soften your hands.
I'd like you to imagine lava pouring over the top of your head,
Melting any thoughts,
Tension or stress as it makes its way from the tip of your head all the way down to the tip of your toes.
Relaxing your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Arms and legs along the way.
Beautiful.
Now tune into the rhythm of your natural breath.
Notice the incoming breath.
Notice the outgoing breath as they dance with one another in a continuous motion of in and out.
In and out.
Long inhales and slow exhales.
Not doing anything more nor anything less.
Simply being with the breath.
Becoming one with it.
If your mind's wandered off,
That's okay.
Gently guide it back,
Following the breath flowing through you.
In and out.
In and out.
Chest expanding as you inhale and falling as you exhale.
There's nothing to do right now other than simply be.
Let go of any thinking.
Just enjoy the experience of breathing.
The profound act that infuses you with life.
Relax into the stillness,
Into the timelessness.
From the space of stillness and peace,
Where you are more balanced and are able to approach things from a higher perspective,
Bring to mind the fear,
Uncertainty and anxiousness that has been troubling you.
Observe these bothersome emotions as if they are separate from you.
Not you,
But merely clothes you wear at times.
After all,
You aren't constantly in a state of fear.
Emotions do change regularly,
So they are not the real you.
You and only you hold the power to go into stillness and alter states if you choose.
Even when you feel overwhelmed and unable to control your fears,
Remind yourself that it's okay.
You are where you are and you're most certainly not alone.
There's a collective fear and a personal fear that resides in each and every one of us.
You feel it.
I feel it.
We all feel it.
We're all human.
We are all impacted by past trauma.
We're all impacted by our environments,
By our upbringings.
We can begin the day feeling on top of the world and then be hit by one news story,
One text,
One memory,
One encounter,
One word that can send us spiraling into a tangent of anxieties and fears,
Unable to stay the course.
We tell ourselves that we should know better,
That we should feel confident and at ease,
But we can't.
Our mind and emotions can be pulled in so many different directions.
But with repeated practice,
We do have the ultimate choice to listen and go.
Whenever you're confronted by anxiety and fear,
I'd like you to try this simple yet powerful exercise.
Change clothes.
Yes,
Change clothes.
Go ahead and visualize your fears and anxieties as clothes you are wearing.
Imagine yourself taking these clothes off,
Placing them in a box,
Sealing it shut and giving it away to the universe to be discarded of.
You no longer need them.
You've outgrown them.
Now consciously choose to open another box that contains your desired state of being.
Confidence,
Peace,
Joy,
Whatever it is you need.
Go ahead and dress yourself in these desired states of being,
Whatever it is you want to become now.
How does it feel to dress yourself up in confidence,
Peace and joy?
How do you act and carry yourself from this space of alignment?
Really embody this you.
From this embodied state,
What sort of decisions would you make?
How would your actions differ when you come from a place of love as opposed to fear?
Let your intuition speak to you.
Every single day you hold the power to choose your state of being and in turn your actions will reflect this choice.
Remember that thoughts and feelings lead to actions and actions ultimately determine your destiny.
It's not always easy to be mindful,
To be in control of how we think and feel as opposed to constantly swayed by our outer circumstances.
But just like learning a new skill with consistent effort and practice,
It does become easier and easier.
So you're always welcome to return to this meditation time and time again.
We've come to the end of our practice.
It's now time to smoothly transition out.
So whenever you're ready,
Feel your earth to ground connection.
Bring slow and mindful movements back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers,
Then toes,
And flutter hope in your eyes.
Thanks so much for joining me.
As always,
Let me know how your practice went.
I love reading and responding to each and every one of you.
And of course,
Follow along for more to come.
I look forward to connecting with you again soon.
