Hey there,
Welcome to this quick and simple exercise to help you tap into your guidance system.
My name is Juana and I'm so delighted you're here.
Together we're going to dive into something simple,
Yet super powerful.
Tuning into your body's yes and no.
These two little words carry so much wisdom,
And the best part,
Your body is always speaking to you,
Guiding you.
So,
We're just going to listen a bit closer today.
Ready?
Well,
If you are,
Find yourself a comfy seat,
Nothing fancy,
Just somewhere you can relax and tune in.
Gently close your eyes,
Roll your shoulders down,
And ensure your spine is relatively straight,
So you can stay alert.
Before we get on with what you came here for,
You need to get grounded and present.
Because if your mind is racing,
You ain't tuning into anything.
So take a deep breath in,
And then exhale like you're blowing out all the candles on a big birthday cake.
Ooh,
That sure feels good,
Doesn't it?
Let's do it again.
Big big inhale,
As if there are many many candles to extinguish,
And before you blow them all out,
Make a quick wish to gain the clarity it is you need in our session.
Hold that wish in,
And then blow out those candles,
Trusting that it's granted.
Let's relax a little deeper now.
Taking a quick body scan from head to toe,
Check for any discomfort,
And if you find any,
Picture the tension as a little knot in your body,
And with each breath,
Imagine that knot gently untying itself.
No effort,
Just a slow,
Soft unraveling.
Connecting with your feet on the ground,
Or whatever surface you happen to be on,
Imagine roots growing from your feet,
Digging into the earth like you're a tree on a mission to stay put.
No floating away with any racing thoughts.
With each breath,
Let go of any swirling thoughts like they're leaves flying off a tree in autumn,
While you,
As the tree,
Stay put.
Yep,
Wave those leaves,
Those thoughts,
Bye bye,
As you see them flying away.
Much better.
So,
You're grounded,
You're relaxed,
You're present.
Now what?
Well,
It's time to tap into your curiosity.
Imagine you are an explorer,
Here to discover your body's unique signaling abilities.
Yep,
You're about to tap into a special superpower,
Your body's ability to give you a clear yes or no.
Your body is always communicating with you,
But if you're stuck in your head,
Mulling your question over,
You can sure hear a lot of noise,
But lack any clear,
Direct answer.
In order to connect with your truth,
You need to connect with your body.
So first up,
Let's explore your yes.
Think of something in your life that makes you go yes.
Something that lights you right up.
It could be anything,
A person,
An idea,
A fun plan,
Maybe it's a favorite hobby,
An exciting opportunity,
Or that moment when you finally get to chill with your favorite people.
Whatever it is,
Imagine it in your mind.
How does that yes feel in your body?
Go ahead,
Check in with yourself.
Do your shoulders drop and relax?
Is there a lift in your chest?
Maybe your face even lights up a little,
Hello happy grin.
Or maybe there's a warm,
Expansive feeling somewhere inside,
Like you're opening up to a whole new world of possibilities.
It's almost like your body's saying yes right along with you.
Hang out with that feeling for a sec.
Let it spread through your chest,
Your arms,
Your legs.
Let it light you up from the inside out.
Feels good,
Doesn't it?
Okay,
I hate to tear you from this great feeling inside,
But it's time to switch gears to the opposite.
Think about something that feels off to you.
Maybe it's a decision that doesn't quite sit right,
Or something you're resisting.
It could be a should creeping its ugly head in,
Or a choice that just doesn't feel aligned with you.
Embody that no.
Notice what happens in your body.
Are your shoulders pulling in,
Like you're trying to protect yourself?
Does your chest feel heavier,
Like there's a weight pressing down on you?
Maybe you feel knots in your stomach,
Or a tightness in your jaw.
Whatever it is,
Simply observe.
It's not bad,
It's merely different.
No has a unique kind of power.
It's about setting boundaries,
Protecting yourself,
And creating space for what truly aligns with you.
Stay with it for a moment.
Feel the strength in that no.
You've got this.
Okay,
Let's do a little yes and no dance.
Switching between them.
Take a deep breath,
And bring back your yes.
The thing that excites you,
That makes your heart do a little happy dance.
Feel how your body responds.
Is there lightness,
Expansion,
Maybe even a little buzz of excitement?
Then,
Switch to your no.
Imagine the thing that doesn't feel right,
And notice the shift in your body.
You might feel that resistance,
The heaviness,
Or just that stillness in your body,
Like you're saying,
No,
I'm not doing that.
No,
I'm not going there.
Keep switching between the two,
Observing how your body reacts.
Yes.
No.
On your own.
Yes feels open,
Light,
Maybe even a little playful.
No feels firm.
Strong and protective.
Remember,
Both are powerful in their own way.
Both help you to navigate life.
Okay,
Let's settle into a moment of stillness,
Shaking off both the yes and no,
And returning to a neutral state.
Taking a deep breath in,
Allow your body to relax even further as you exhale.
Find complete stillness for a few breaths.
Beautiful.
You've just felt into the sensations of both opposing sides.
Your body has spoken,
And you've listened.
When you're ready,
Ask yourself a simple yes or no question.
Should I do this?
Is that a good idea?
Is it a yay or a nay for me?
Don't overthink it.
Listen to the first thing your body tells you.
That's usually right.
Does your body say yes?
Does it feel light,
Expansive,
And open?
Or does it say no?
Does it feel more closed off,
Grounded,
Or protective?
If you're getting a no,
Ask yourself,
Is this no coming from fear,
Nervousness?
Sometimes our bodies tense up when we're scared.
But that doesn't mean it's necessarily a bad decision.
It might just mean we need to work through the discomfort before we can say yes to something new.
And if you're feeling neutral,
That's okay too.
It might just mean you need more information before deciding.
Trust that your body will guide you when the time is right,
And you don't need to force it right now.
Yes and no are powerful tools.
They're not good or bad.
They're just ways your body communicates with you.
They help you make choices that align with your true self,
Guiding you towards what's best for you.
They are your friends.
So take a moment to sit back and just feel your body as a whole,
Resting in the present moment.
No longer bound by a yes or a no.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you are ready,
Flutter open your eyes.
You've just tapped into the wisdom of your body.
Pretty cool,
Right?
Whenever you need answers,
You can always return to this practice.
Your body can always help you decide what's best for you.
Thank you for taking this time to tune in with me.
I hope it helped you find a little more clarity.
You did awesome.
Let me know how it went for you.
I look forward to connecting with you again real soon.
Blessings to you.
