With gratitude,

I am Onawa,

Hershey,

They,

Them.

The goddess of yoga nidra allows us to go inward with permission to stay as long as desired.

To align the fullness of self to self.

To be in the full power of you.

Offering life to the chakra energies to simply be.

To flourish,

To mourn,

To celebrate.

Take some time to gather the items to craft a rest nest using blankets,

Pillows,

Cushions,

Anything that will support you.

As you float into a sacred space,

Rest nest,

Begin to soften your eyes.

Using an eye covering or comforting visual in your presence,

Allow your entire self to settle into the expansion of your body.

Into the expansion of your body beyond the physical being of your body.

Into the expansion of the space,

Knowing you could.

Checking in with the breath,

Sensing your body,

Giving some focus to the breath,

Allow the breath to exhale with a full sigh.

Moan,

Giggle or silently,

Release it out.

Then begin to fill the belly by slowly dragging your breath up through the belly into the diaphragm,

Ribs and chest.

Almost as if the breath was attached to a star,

Passing through the fullness of the heart chakra and pulling that breath to the top of the chest.

Hold the breath for a moment and then release the breath,

Offering yourself permission to release the embrace of your own breathing.

As you soften into this moment,

Soften into your body,

Allowing the weight of your body,

The fullness,

The depths,

The heaviness,

The lightness,

The depths of you to relinquish any tightness.

Diving into any and all feelings that rise up,

Sitting with that for a moment.

And now we begin the practice of yoga nidra.

Allow that last breath to become an illuminated star.

With each release of breath,

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronize to your natural release of breath.

As that breath floats from your pelvis,

The root chakra,

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

Now release.

As the breath now flows to your belly,

The sacral chakra,

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

Now release.

As the breath moves,

Flows to your ribs,

The solar plexus chakra,

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

As the breath moves through you flowing to your heart chakra that illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

Now release.

The breath flows now to your throat,

Just under the chin,

Lips,

Tongue and mouth,

The throat chakra.

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

Now release.

And this next breath in whatever pattern it takes moves to your forehead slightly above the brow,

The third eye unseen and seen.

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

Now release.

Feeling the breath to its softness and fullness,

And ease of the breath flowing to above the head,

The crown chakra.

As the breath moves through you,

The heart chakra,

That illuminated star begins to expand and contract,

Synchronized to your natural release of breath.

Now release.

See the bright and soft illuminated star become your lotus shaped crown,

Where the breath illuminates in a violet purple hue,

An enlightened spiritual energy that connects all of the breaths you illuminated.

Higher cells,

Divine energy and an extension and an extension in all expansive being.

Listening here to your breath,

And the rhythm of the breath.

Taking a deep breath,

Filling the space of your crown chakra.

Now imagine that breath becomes an illuminated star that elevates your crown chakra,

Allow it to float and expand around you.

An illuminated star that wraps around you.

And now that illuminated star fully bloomed,

Lotus shaped crown of violet purple hue,

Traveling through and around you,

Into the front body,

Seen and unseen.

Seeing that breath into the front body.

The back body,

Seen and unseen.

Seeing that breath into the back body,

Into your front and back body.

Now seeing that illuminated star fully blooms,

Lotus shaped crown chakra of violet purple hue,

Into the entire body.

With the next exhale,

Allow the fully bloomed,

Lotus shaped crown chakra of a violet purple hue,

To begin to close,

Release it.

Now allow the illuminated star that expanded and contracted with each inhale and exhale,

To begin to come to a simple illumination of a soft color that you take with you.

That will remain at the crown chakra,

And surround you in your fullness,

Your expansion of God ex self.

Holding on to the knowing you were always able to visit back and find this illuminated star that offers light that surrounds you.

Grant yourself permission to come and hold and be held by this light with its expansive ability to stretch beyond each moment.

And now the practice of yoga nidra is complete.

Finding small movements here,

Guided back to your body by my voice,

And now the practice of yoga nidra is complete.

Now the practice of yoga nidra is complete.

Stretching out wide,

Maybe pulling in one knee to your chest,

Now both knees expanding with a full stretch of legs out wide,

Expanding with a full stretch of legs out wide,

Arms and hands out wide.

Release them.

Finding a flow of space as you come back to this moment,

Sitting up,

Surrounded by,

And fully in your rest nest.

With my full and grateful heart,

Thank you.

Bringing the hands together,

Left hand over right hand over your heart.

We're at your knees.

Honoring your time with each other,

With yourself,

With gratitude,

Peace,

Love,

Sat na.
