Hi,

This is Pandora.

I'm here today with a guided meditation to help you recapture your control over things.

Specifically in this case,

The stress and anxiety about your health and COVID-19.

We're living in a very high stress time.

A pandemic is not easy to live through,

But you're doing it,

You're living through it.

So this meditation is going to help you to live through it a little bit better,

Especially during those peak anxiety moments.

So let's first begin by closing your eyes and taking a deep breath in.

Fill your belly with air and expand it as big as you can.

When you feel like you can't breathe in anymore,

Exhale the air out through your nose,

Tightening your stomach to take the out breath all the way out to the end.

Now let's breathe one more deep breath in.

And let it all out.

One more deep breath in through your nose.

Really deeply expand your belly all the way out.

Fill yourself with oxygen,

Energy,

Beauty.

And exhale.

All the way to the end.

Release all of those toxins.

Let it all out.

Now focus on bringing your breath back to its normal rhythm.

Bring your attention into your body.

Notice how your chest rises and falls with the motion of your breathing.

Feel that cool air in your nose as you breathe in and warm air as you exhale.

Take a few more normal breaths.

Feel your shoulders start to lower and relax.

Feel your cheeks soften and your jaw release all of that tension.

Your tongue will fall down from the root of your mouth.

Let it relax too.

Your arms are feeling heavier and they seem to sink further into relax.

Let your stomach soften and relax.

Are your legs starting to feel heavy too?

Good.

Feel your whole body melt deeply into a relaxed position.

Without any extra tension or pain that might be lingering.

Don't judge it,

Just let it release.

Take another deep breath.

As we sit here together,

You may notice that there are some thoughts popping up in your mind.

Maybe these thoughts look like headlines from a newspaper or images you've been seeing on the news.

Perhaps these thoughts look like numbers.

The number of cases,

The number of deaths,

The number of the market impact.

Maybe these thoughts are even about the impact on you.

How is this affecting your life?

How is this affecting your health?

Is it affecting your business,

Your kids,

Your schedule,

Your events,

Family events,

Family get-togethers,

Your community?

These thoughts may be heavy with visions of that worst case scenario.

Your mind may paint these images very brightly.

See all of these thoughts inside of your head,

Watching as they swirl around,

Creating a hurricane of worry,

Stress,

Anxiety,

And fear.

Really feel how powerful that hurricane is.

Feel the energy it has.

Feel the movement,

The intensity.

All of this energy of the hurricane is what you've been carrying around with you,

And it's impacting everything else in your life.

It impacts your focus,

Your sense of safety and health.

Even your regular daily activities are impacted.

Your work,

Your connection with others.

So take another breath and look at the hurricane as it swirls loudly in front of you.

Notice that you see something very important.

The distinction between the facts and the emotions.

The facts are standing still outside of the hurricane,

And the emotions,

The fear,

Stress,

The worry,

The anxiety,

They are actually what's causing the motion of the hurricane,

And they're completely normal emotions to be feeling right now.

So let's take a deep breath together in this moment,

Looking at the hurricane of emotions outside of you,

And realize that you are in charge of whether or not you allow this energy into your life today.

Are you going to allow it in,

Or are you going to keep it out,

Press it out away from you?

You have your life to live today.

And although COVID-19 is very real and deserves attention from you,

This moment right now is when you get to decide whether to invite in the facts that will help you navigate your day or whether you'll invite in the chaos of the hurricane of emotions.

And no matter what you decide,

It's all okay.

It's a practice to control what you can and let go of what you can't.

As you continue your day and recognize the emotions when they come up,

The worry,

The fear,

The obsession with the updates,

Simply honor them and then place them into this hurricane swirling outside of you.

Let that hurricane be your emotion in a container.

That container will hold it all while you get connected to the present moment,

To what actually is in your life right now.

How does that feel?

Seeing the emotion,

The worry,

The fear to be contained in that hurricane and not within you.

Let the beauty of what is in your life at this moment pull you into the present moment so you can choose what to pay attention to and choose what to let go of.

Now begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Allowing your relaxed body to start to wake up and feel again.

Feel your body rise and fall with your breath and breathe in gratitude for this moment.

Trust that you will have everything that you need to deal with the facts as they evolve.

In this space of peace,

Say a silent prayer of compassion,

Love and healing for all of those lives who have been directly impacted,

People who have been directly impacted by COVID-19.

Maybe that's you.

Say a silent prayer of compassion for yourself,

For the people that you love,

For everyone around the world who has been impacted,

For our healthcare workers,

For our people working on the front lines to make sure that we're fed,

That we're okay.

Imagine this healing prayer spreading all over the globe and root yourself in love.

The energy of love,

Trust,

Faith,

Belief will also help you to overcome that fear and worry about what is outside of you,

What you can't control.

But remember that you can control this present moment.

As you come back into your body,

Open your eyes slowly.

Look around you.

This space that you're in,

This moment that you're in is perfect.

You are safe.

You were guided to this meditation today to help you have some tools so that you can harness your inner peace.

And I'm here whenever you need.

You can revisit this meditation if you're having a rough moment.

It's okay.

We all have those moments.

Don't judge yourself.

Accept the process,

But put your anxiety and your fear outside of yourself.

It's not within you.

Don't hang on to it.

Put it outside of yourself in a space where you can see it,

You can recognize it,

But you don't need to feel its energy and its velocity every moment.
