Welcome to the fourth peace beam in the heartbreak series.
Let's begin with step one.
Notice how you feel.
Take a moment to tune into yourself and feel whatever is present within you right now.
Are you holding any tension in your body that you can just let go of?
Let it melt with a soft focus of your attention.
Now bring your attention to your feet and your ankles,
Your knees and up through your body just noticing if you can relax a little bit more.
Step two.
Bring your attention to your breath.
Continue breathing normally but just start to notice the breath coming in and out.
Begin to gently extend your breath with lots of ease just relaxing into it.
Imagine your breath arriving in your body through your nose or your mouth and then flowing deep into your heart.
Keep the visualization going of your breath flowing in and out of your heart.
Just stay here for a few moments breathing.
Step three.
Activate.
In the Western world we are devoted to our private lives where we hope to deal with the messy and uncomfortable parts of being human away from the prying eyes of others.
Heartbreak offers the rare gift of true vulnerability.
Often this the time we can offer up to those around us what's really going on.
Not only enabling the healing process but strengthening the human bonds that we need to carry us forward.
For this piece being we're going to go into a visualization.
So shut your eyes.
Start to imagine your heart with a little flickering light.
Now imagine your perspective just zooming out until you are floating viewing your heart's light from above.
Slowly you rise higher and higher until you notice another flickering light.
You notice that it's another's heart.
Do you recognize the faint light because it's fragile and it's bruised just like yours.
Completely unique yet also so alike.
You continue to float up and up into a clear night sky.
Now as you peer down you start to see the flickering lights of many many hearts.
More than you could possibly count.
There are more breathtakingly beautiful broken hearts scattered below than grains of sand in the Sahara.
These are the broken hearts belonging to humans living and humans who have passed.
Although there is a heaviness in this sea of grief there is also a beauty which is more captivating,
More alive,
More powerful than anything you have ever witnessed before.
Take a long breath in and place both hands over your hearts as you slowly start to exhale.
And you allow yourself to feel even one of the loneliest experiences a heart break can go through.
You are not alone.
You are part of a rich tapestry of human experience.
A long lineage of brave souls who have dared to make themselves vulnerable to the mystery of love and in doing so have risked brokenness.
Feel your body grounded.
Feel the soles of your feet against the floor.
Feel your heart beating.
Step 4.
Peace beam.
This is your chance to gather in the lights of your hearts to feel it shining within.
Now imagine the radiance of your heart's light beaming out and touching those around you,
Those near to you and those very far away.
Imagine that your heart's light is beaming out across the clear night sky merging with thousands of other hearts.
Have a beautiful day.
