Welcome.
I'm sorry things are challenging for you right now.
But you've made a good choice by taking a moment for self-compassion.
Find a comfortable and safe space to sit or lie down.
Allow your body to settle and take a long,
Slow exhale.
When you are ready,
Allow the breath to re-enter your body and begin to feel the natural rhythm of your breath as it moves in and as it moves out.
There is nothing to do.
Nowhere to be.
Just this moment.
Just this breath.
On your next exhale,
Imagine looking into your own eyes.
Allow these following phrases to land deep within your body,
Mind and heart.
Allow yourself to experience them not just as words,
But as a felt sense.
Accept them kindly as a gift of self-compassion you fully deserve.
I see you.
I see all of you,
Including all of those parts that long to be seen.
I hear you.
I hear all that you say and long to say.
I feel you.
I feel all your emotions.
I feel all your emotions and accept them for what they are without judgement.
I understand you.
I understand the reason why this matters,
The deeper meaning you want fully understood.
I love you.
I love all of you,
In all your depth,
Your beauty and your vulnerability.
I love you in all your courage,
Strength and resilience.
I love you.
Breathe gently in.
Breathe gently out.
Breathe gently in.
Breathe gently out.
Now I invite you to repeat after me,
Either out loud or in your head.
I see me.
I hear me.
I feel me.
I understand me.
I love me.
I accept all that I am with deep self-compassion and love.
I am understood.
Breathe gently in.
Breathe gently out.
Know that you are seen,
You are heard,
You are felt,
You are understood,
You are deeply loved.
Ready?
Take one more breath in,
And one long,
Slow exhale out.
Gently bring your attention back to the space that you are in.
Feel the support of the seat or the ground beneath you.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Know that this feeling of deep self-compassion and love is available whenever you need it.
Thank you for sharing this practice with me,
And I look forward to practicing again with you tomorrow.
Thank you.
