In all my years of teaching,
The thing that many of us have such a hard time learning to do is to include ourselves in the equation,
To embrace ourselves.
We have this tendency to just sort of look out of our eyes and we think what we're seeing is true reality,
But we're not paying any attention to who is looking.
So,
You know,
The person who's looking has set ideas that come from their childhood,
From your childhood and your conditioning.
So when you look out at the world,
You will see through that lens.
And the only chance really of coming into true reality is learning how to put your arms around yourself,
To include yourself in the equation,
To understand yourself enough to be able to observe the person who's looking out your eyes.
So you're aware of your injured child self,
You're aware of how your body's feeling,
How you slept last night,
How your clothes feel on your skin,
And you perceive life with all of that.
Now,
It's a tall order in this time where we're all so busy,
But even just a fraction of including yourself in the equation.
You know,
One of the things I used to do when I was younger and I had things to do,
And if I felt overwhelmingly like I couldn't do it,
Or that I just needed to rest,
What I would do is I would speak to the universe and say,
Please,
I want time to rest,
But then bring me up so I have enough time to do the things I have to do in the day.
And then that would occur.
I would sink into the rest and be brought up and achieve the outcomes I needed.
So this is the message really of this video,
That there's more room for you,
And you can take the room.
So,
You know,
You can ask that all your tasks are done in as easy a possible way.
You can ask to know which tasks just to dump that you don't need to do in a day.
You can remember that you're important just in yourself,
No matter what the outcome of this particular day.
You're important in yourself,
You are an eternal being,
And you're in the earth experience,
And there's room for you to get to know your eternal being.
Yeah,
Just,
You know,
Learn to be,
Without self-indulgence,
Learn to be as gentle with yourself as possible,
As if you're dealing with a wonderful child who can be a bit troublesome sometimes,
But you love really deeply.
So you have great patience for this child,
And you can feel who this child's really meant to be.
So you're that child.
So be good to yourself in your day.
Okay,
Bless your hearts.
