Let's start by taking a nice deep breath in and out through the nose.
Breathe into the diaphragm,
The space between the belly button and the rib cage.
You can place a hand on your belly here.
Feel for the rise on the inhale and the fall on the exhale.
Allow your eyelids to feel heavy and close.
Allow your body to soften and relax.
Allow each breath to release a part of you that's holding tension.
Allow each exhale to free you from anything stuck within your body.
In the climax,
She saw the truth.
How far away the apple had fallen from the tree.
Of primal self.
Of humanness.
Of her truths.
Life got busy instead.
Life got full of clutter and chaos.
Life got full of shoulds and musts.
Can'ts and wants.
Of health crises after life crises after soul crises.
So much so that minor crises became unbearable.
Existing crisis.
I wondered how she'd got here.
She'd see people who radiated resilience and felt melancholy.
Oh yes,
I remember the days when I had that.
She was the twisted widow of hope.
Yet,
Somewhere,
Deep down,
She knew that this would pass.
That this was a darkness that would transform her.
That she wouldn't remember most of the heaviness and that she would once again become the empress of hope.
Continue taking deep breaths in and out through the nose.
I want you to acknowledge the ability you have within you to get through even the darkest of times.
Even the hardest of moments.
Acknowledge yourself here of the strength you carry.
Of the truths you own that one day will liberate you.
Beginning to look to the present moment now.
Allow yourself to become aware of any sounds outside of my voice.
How your feet feel against the floor.
How your clothes feel against your skin.
You can wiggle or stretch any parts of the body that feel like they need this right now.
And when you're ready,
At your own pace,
Slowly blinking the eyes open and coming back into the room.
