This meditation is about giving yourself the right not only to come into yourself for some gentle intention but also to give yourself the right to appreciate this moment and the day that will be unfolding before you.
Sometimes it's easy to do this but when we're a little more distracted than usual it can be more challenging.
What's the antidote to distraction?
Soft awareness.
Soft kind awareness.
I am here for me.
I am here to soften.
May my day start with me.
My body and softening.
My forehead,
Soft and softening.
My face,
Soft and softening.
My shoulders,
Soft and softening.
My body as a whole.
My legs as I absorb a wave of softness.
And my body is soft and softening.
My mind,
That space where my thoughts take place,
Can be soft and softening.
Take a moment to notice what you can see behind your closed eyes.
Any patterns,
Shapes,
Colors.
Here you are.
The awareness behind your closed eyes.
Here you are.
The awareness of how your body is soft and softening.
How your body breathes at its own rate and rhythm.
And as you track this gentle movement,
You recharge.
You restore.
And now you're ready to go about your day.
