Hello my friend.

Welcome to this guided meditation to help you build courage.

Courage is your ability to face fear or danger boldly.

Courage is your ability to demonstrate bravery when facing experiences and situations that are uncertain.

Courage is your ability to step into experiences that make you feel uncomfortable with the confidence and trust that you will see it through.

Courage is what allows you to face your fears and reach your goals.

Courage allows you to take risks and explore new possibilities and ways of doing things.

Courage can affect change both within you on a personal level and without you on a larger scale.

Courage takes heart.

In fact the word courage comes from the Latin word core which literally means heart.

It is only right then that in this meditation you focus on your heart to build courage.

Before you begin you need to set an intention.

Let your intention answer the question how will I show up in the world now that I am filled with courage in my heart?

How will I show up in the world now that I remember how courageous I am?

And with that let's begin.

Find a comfortable place to sit.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out your mouth to help you center your mind and body.

Take another deep breath in through your nose and as you exhale out your mouth allow your body to get into a relaxed state.

Continue this breathing rhythm and every time you exhale out your mouth allow your body to progressively relax.

Allow the muscles in your stomach to relax.

Allow the muscles in your quads and your thighs to relax.

Allow the muscles in your jaws to relax.

Allow the muscles in your shoulders to relax.

Now bring your attention to your heart.

Feel your heart beating.

Imagine a green light forming in your heart.

The green light represents courage.

As you remember just how courageous you are the green light will grow out of your heart and move into the center of your brain forming a direct connection between your mind and your heart.

Once the connection is established your heart and mind will be in sync.

You will easily express your courage without internal conflict.

Say to yourself,

I am naturally a courageous person.

Begin by remembering your brave decision to choose to be born as a human.

Remember the day you were born.

You were unable to speak or understand language.

You were unable to walk or take care of yourself and had to rely on your mom and your dad.

You were born into a world where you needed to trust that the people around you would take care of you.

To trust requires that you are brave and to be brave requires that you have courage.

Remember that for you to be born onto this planet means you already are courageous.

Feel the green light grow out of your heart upwards towards the center of your brain.

Remember when you went on your first date.

Maybe you were the one who asked out the person you went on a date with or maybe you were the one who said yes.

Either way going on your first date was an uncertain experience and yet you did it.

This took courage.

Courage you already had because you are a courageous person.

As you remember your first date feel the green light grow out further away from your heart towards the center of your brain.

Say to yourself I am being courageous when I speak.

Now remember the time when you stood up for something you believed in that may have put a strain on your relationships.

Remember how uncomfortable this made you feel.

Remember how worried you were about what the consequences of your actions would be.

You may be facing a situation like this today.

If so remember how it makes you feel.

By standing up for something you believe in you are being courageous.

Now feel the green light grow even further towards the center of your brain from your heart.

Say to yourself I am being courageous when I forgive.

And now remember the people in your life who have disagreed with you.

Remember those who have challenged you and your beliefs.

By challenging you and your beliefs they have displayed their own level of courage.

They have helped you remember that you too are courageous.

They have helped you know and define yourself better.

If you have forgiven before you can do it again.

Every time you forgive you affect change on a personal level and on a grander scale.

That my friend is being courageous.

Now feel the green light touch the center of your brain.

Breathe naturally.

Your heart and your mind are now connected.

You remember you are courageous and going forward when you express yourself you do so with courage.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.

Slowly open your eyes.

Wiggle your toes.

Wiggle your fingers.

Stretch your body if you need to.

For the rest of your day move in courage because that is who you are.

I thank you for meditating with me my friend.

Expect your experiences to be exactly what you need to express your courage.

You
