
Guided Meditation; Let Go & Go With The Flow
Every week on Friday, we gather to connect with an animal. Today, we connect with Serena (cat), She shared this thought with us “The trust you put in your pack is always repaid. Just don’t be too hung up on the ‘how”. In this session we go with the flow and tap in to what we receive from our community and what we gift back.
Transcript
Welcome in the circle of animal wisdom.
Welcome here with connecting with Serena,
Beautiful black cat.
And then take a breath in and breathe out and close your eyes.
And before you start settling in,
Really feel into your body.
What does it need?
Does it need to feel the ground?
Maybe lift up your toes and replace them on the ground.
Or if you're laying down,
Curl up your feet completely and then uncurl them and feel the relaxation going.
Feel the relaxation going through your ankles,
All the way through your legs,
Your knees,
Your upper leg.
And then really wiggle so that your lower back is feeling supported and calm.
Take a breath in and out.
Feel how your lower back is relaxing,
How your lungs are filling up.
And when they breathe out,
It brings over this whole relaxing feeling of your body.
Your chest relaxes,
Your shoulder relaxes,
They're going away from your ears.
Your arms are feeling and finding a position of relaxation and support.
Take a breath in and out.
Then move your neck from side to side and just place your head into a relaxation position.
Just know that if you need to scratch a little itch,
Just scratch it.
And just know that you,
At this time,
Are being completely supported,
Completely fine.
Take a breath in and out.
With this journey,
We're going to be guided by Serena,
Who has planned this out.
She invites you to see in your mind's eye this beautiful path.
This path runs on the right side along a river where the water is just slowly,
Slowly going down.
The water is touching the side banks where there are plants and flowers and stones.
And on the left side,
There are some starting of mountains,
But the real mountain is still far away,
But the grass is starting.
And this has flowers and insects going round.
Above you,
You can see birds going.
Just take a moment and to see what kind of birds are coming up for you.
And with an in-breath and out-breath,
Take your time to really step into this visualization.
How does it look for you?
What is coming up?
Let's start walking with the river down the hill.
So we're going with the flow of the water.
You can just see it going around and around.
The pace of walking is nice and calm.
The temperature where we're at is nice.
You're wearing a jacket and a nice pair of jeans or warm pants.
Your shoes are comfortable.
You just notice that every step you take is just going to take you further.
It brings you more relaxation and more calm.
When you look at the sides,
You can see this path going down towards the river.
So let's go down.
It's an easy way down and you reach the side of the banks that has the pebbles on it.
You can feel how the pebbles move around when you put your feet on it.
And it gives you a little bit of a massaging feeling.
Your feet are really connecting and the sound is really nice.
The whispering sound of walking.
Everything around you is just filled with nature noises.
The bird upstairs in the sky.
The sound of the ground.
And then in front of you,
There is this beautiful cat.
She's laying on a big stone which is nice and warm.
She invites you to come sit next to you.
The two of you are sitting down and it's nice to feel this warm stone warming up your sitting area.
But also the warmth is going through your legs and into your body.
And it is just getting you into that state of floating between dreaming and being here.
With the sound of the water just close by enough to give it a rhythm.
Just take a really nice breath in and a loud sigh.
This feels like a mini retreat.
A mini holiday just here.
Right now at this moment of the day.
Ah,
So nice.
You start to pet Serena next to you who starts to lay down and starts to purr next to you.
The two of you are just really connecting on a heart to heart base.
And the purring is just helping you to let go of the enormous to-do list and to let go of conversations that didn't sit well with you.
And to let go of that feeling that you have to do.
It's all okay.
Serena goes and lays next to you and through your heart connection you can start the conversation.
And she says,
So tell me about your pack,
Tell me about your community.
You start to list all the things that you are grateful for that the people in your life are bringing you.
Just really take a moment to embrace all the gratitude that you have towards people in your life.
And into the feeling that they add to your life.
The meals you share,
The drinks you share,
The adventures you took together.
And the times that you needed support,
How they lifted you up.
And just take a breath in and breathe out.
And take a moment,
I will hold the time,
Take a moment to really embrace your gratitude towards your own community.
And feeling all this gratitude that you are receiving from your community.
So what do you contribute?
What are your amazing gifts that you add to your community?
Your amazing cooking,
The way you make tea,
The way your house is always has an open door policy.
The way that you have a smile on your face and truly listen.
Take a breath in and breathe out.
And feel into all the gifts that you add every day to your community.
Your community through sports,
At work.
People also,
You only add to your community for a minute or so at the coffee shop.
Just feel into your own gifts.
And feel into all the gifts that you add every day.
It's a beautiful feeling to dive into your own gifts.
In combination of all the gifts that you are receiving back.
It's always an ebb and flow,
Coming,
Going.
It's those special moments that you didn't expect,
That surprises you.
It's sometimes also from other humans that you didn't expect it.
And they remind you of your gifts and you remind them of their gifts.
The gift getting back is so important.
So take a moment on how the ebb and flow in your life goes.
Serena is curious.
How does it work for you?
Do you pay attention to what the flow is and how are you receiving back the value and the abundance that is happening in your life every day?
If you lose connection,
Just take a breath in and breathe out.
And just feel into those emotions.
I will do space.
At this moment,
With this beautiful energy and the beautiful connection of the ebb and flow that is happening within your own pack,
Within your own community,
It feels so healing and relaxing and it adds to your relaxation in your body.
This gratitude feeling and the extra attention and the cuddles with Serena is a good moment to give a place into your heart,
A place that you can easily access when you encounter doubt into your day or emotions that are not feeding you but draining you.
You can go to this little place in your heart and pick up this energy and this feeling,
This sensation.
Serena will hold this space for you and is going to give this gift to you,
Which you can revisit over and over.
Then she gets up in Serena style,
Jumps off the stone and walks away,
Leaving you with that retreat feeling,
That little holiday feeling where you just be charged,
Relaxed,
Where your creativity energies are awakened and start flowing again.
You get up as well.
You're going to walk back on the path that you walked down.
You're going to walk it all the way back up.
Arriving in the wonderful path,
Walking back,
Enjoying all the sounds of the wind and the birds,
Seeing the beautiful grass and flowers around you.
And then slowly start to feel your chair where you're sitting on,
All the ground that you're laying on.
Start wiggling your toes,
Moving your body.
Give it a good stretch.
And take a breath in and breathe out.
With the next breath in and out,
We're going to open up our eyes.
We're going to familiarise ourselves with our surroundings.
Really have a good look what you're seeing,
Maybe say the things around you out loud,
Like beautiful plants,
Glass of water.
And now take one more breath in and out and just know that you are ready for today.
