Hello,

Dear one,

And welcome to your meditation practice.

My name is Sade Simone,

And it's such an honor and a joy to be your guide.

Today's practice is step into the spotlight of your life.

How to become the star of your own story.

So get settled into a comfortable meditation position.

Maybe you are sitting on a meditation cushion on the floor.

Maybe you are sitting on a chair.

Maybe you're lying down.

Just make sure that you are inviting intentionality and grace into your posture.

And when you're ready,

You can gently close your eyes.

And as you close your eyes,

I invite you to take a spiritual inventory of your internal world.

What is it like inside?

Maybe looking first at physical sensations.

You know,

With this loving awareness,

We're able to be with the sensations and not become them.

We so often associate physical sensations to be who we are.

That is so limiting.

So become aware.

And then open up to the mental landscape,

Looking at the quality of the thoughts and feelings that might be present.

And again,

Exercising a clear light of loving awareness.

Being with the thoughts and the feelings and not becoming them,

Allowing them to be what they are,

Mental events and nothing more.

And then before we begin our visualization practice,

I invite you to rest all the energy of the mind on the feeling of the breath in your body,

To bring the mind into a place of relaxation and a little bit more ease as we begin to concentrate all the energy of the mind into a single point,

The feeling of the breath in the body.

So see if you can feel the breath most vividly at the tip of your nose or maybe it's at your upper lip or maybe it's a point in your chest or a point in your belly.

Wherever it is,

For the next two minutes,

I invite you to do your very best effort to resist the temptations,

To get carried away into additional thoughts,

Feelings or any distractions,

Internal or external distractions and to just be one with the feeling of the breath.

Breathing in,

Being fully aware that you are breathing in and breathing out,

Fully aware that you are breathing out.

Notice if your attention has been pulled away and just invite it back.

Place your attention back on the feeling of the breath and slowly,

Slowly as you continue to trace the breath in and out,

You allow yourself to be one with the breath.

And now let go of the breath,

Let it go,

Let it go.

Notice the quality of your internal landscape,

If anything has changed.

And now I invite you to visualize all the little bits and pieces that I'm about to guide you on.

Imagine your life like a stage.

Is there a specific area in your life that you are,

You know,

Watching it play out on the stage and you're just sitting in the audience,

Watching your life happen without fully participating in it?

Just being a bystander,

Not fully owning that that's your stage,

That this is your life,

That that's the spotlight shining on you.

Is there an area in your life that you are not actively participating?

So ask yourself the question,

Allow this visualization to be the training device.

Allow the visualization and this question to really bring about the answers.

You know,

As you treat the mind to this visualization,

To this question,

You notice that the answers arise.

Let's pause this for another two minutes and as I'm silent,

Just do your very best effort to resist the temptations,

To get carried away in any internal stories that have nothing to do with this transformative practice,

You know?

Is there an area in your life that you are not actively participating,

That you're just sort of unintentionally sitting back and being a passive,

You know,

Bystander,

Not actively engaging,

Not participating,

Not owning the spotlight in your life?

What does it feel like to be in a shadow of your own experience?

You know,

What's playing out at that stage?

Is it your dreams,

Your career path?

Is it your relationship to your body?

Is it your romantic partnership?

What is it?

What area of your life are you in the shadows,

Not actively participating in?

What does it feel like to not step into the fullest potential that you have,

To bring the spotlight into every area of your life,

To truly step into that stage and be the star of your own story,

Not merely tossed around by circumstances,

To truly be the creative director of your life?

And then ask yourself,

Is there an area in your life that you are half in and half out,

That you're sort of like behind a curtain?

You know,

Only half of you is being seen,

Is in the spotlight,

And the other half of you is behind a curtain.

What area of your life isn't getting the full spotlight?

What area of your life are you not really showing up full power?

You're showing up,

But not to its fullest extent.

Watch it.

Watch that part of your life playing out on that stage.

At first we were totally removed,

We're in the audience looking at that stage,

Clearly in the dark in the audience,

Looking at that spotlight of the life passing by.

And now we are on the stage,

But we are half behind a curtain and half outside.

And what are you seeing at that stage?

What part of your life is playing out that you're not completely engaging in?

Feel into it.

What does it feel like to be only half in and half out,

To not be fully committed,

To be committed just enough to sort of,

You know,

Pretend that we're playing the parts,

That we are an active participant in our own life?

Like,

What does it feel like to be half in and half out?

To sort of feel the warmth of the spotlight in only half of your body?

What does that feel like?

And now I want you to step up fully onto the stage in all its glory.

Feel the warmth of the spotlight radiating.

Feel it touching every part of your body.

What does that feel like?

What does it feel like to be in complete ownership of your life,

Being a completely active participant in your experience?

How does it feel to be the creative director of your life?

How does it feel to take charge of this incredibly profound creative process that we call life?

Move around that stage,

Move around,

Dance around,

Show the world a big smile.

Show the world a beautiful,

Fierce walk.

Darling,

You belong in the light.

You are a star.

It's time to live it.

It's time to let your inner light shine bright for everyone to see.

No more hiding,

No more half in,

Half out.

Be fully committed.

Bring all areas of your life into awareness,

Onto the stage of your life.

Be an active participant.

Take ownership.

Live life fully.

This is a miracle,

Truly.

And now as we begin to bring this practice into a close,

I invite you to bring your hands in prayer in front of your heart.

Thank you for your practice.

Thank you for your effort.

And I invite you to,

You know,

Thank yourself for doing the work,

For being aware,

For feeling into it,

For choosing to step up fully and lead in your life and be the master creator of your life.

And for all the little bits and pieces of insights that we have accumulated in practice today,

We send it out.

We hope that our practice can light the way for the freedom of all people everywhere with no exception.
