Start your day with purpose and positivity through this powerful morning meditation! Combining simple breathwork, gratitude, and intention-setting, this practice taps into the science of mindfulness to help you feel focused, energized, and ready for success. Transcript

Begin by sitting up and finding your balanced posture.

Feel the weight of your body against the surface.

Eyes gently close.

Take a big breath in and with the exhale release any stress and tension.

Allow your breath to fall into a natural rhythm.

With every inhale think in and with every exhale think out.

Labeling every in-breath with in and labeling every out-breath with out.

Continue to follow your breath.

Breathing in,

Think in.

Breathing out,

Think out.

When you notice a thought,

Allow it to float up into the air and let it go as if it were a balloon floating up into the sky.

Then return your mind back to your breath.

In and out.

Continuing to focus on your breath and the natural rhythm of your breath.

Following every in-breath all the way in and following each out-breath all the way out.

Noticing thoughts as they arise and allowing them to just float up and away like a balloon floating up into the sky.

Then bringing your attention back to your breath.

Continue that focus on your breath.

Allowing your body to relax and follow the natural rhythm of your breath.

Following your breath all the way in and then following your breath all the way out.

Letting any thoughts float up and away.

Now bring your attention to your heart center.

Imagine breathing in and out through your heart center.

Lengthening your breath so that you are breathing in to the count of five and breathing out to the count of five.

As you continue to breathe in and out through your heart center,

Bring to mind an experience from your past that you are grateful for.

Bring that experience to mind and immerse yourself into that experience as if it were happening right now.

Bringing in all your senses.

What did you hear?

What did you smell?

What did you feel?

What did you see?

Savoring each moment of that experience.

Savoring each moment of that experience.

And as you continue to do so,

Feel the energy of appreciation and gratitude fill your heart center.

Continuing to focus on that experience.

Notice that energy of appreciation and gratitude continuing to expand and allow it to expand and grow and infuse every cell in your being.

Allowing that energy of appreciation to expand within and out into the world.

And finally,

Taking a few moments to set an intention for how you want to feel today.

Energized,

Confident,

Joyful.

Whatever comes to mind,

Set the intention for the day.

And taking another big breath in,

Exhale through the mouth,

Opening your eyes,

And have an amazing day.
