In this meditation, Sarah guides our attention to relax into breathing. She invites us to let go of the mind's habitual tendency towards effort and control and into the space of receptive presence. Nothing to do or attain -- only allowing what's here to be here. Through relaxing into the breath, we develop the capacity to trust and open to the life that's here in every moment. This is where we find the deepest peace.

To begin letting the attention find the breath.

As you become aware of the breath,

Just gently allowing it to soften and deepen a bit.

Simply arriving here in this body,

In this moment.

And with that,

Letting go of what has been,

What's led up to this moment and what's coming next.

And allowing yourself for here and now to just be here.

Just nothing to do,

Nothing to get right.

Just allowing what's here to be here.

And with that,

You might see if there is any room to allow anything that may be unpleasant here.

Noticing how fully you can say yes to this moment,

Just as it is.

Notice how it is when you say yes.

It's not yes,

I like this.

Yes,

I'm not going to resist what's here.

It's a willingness to be present with whatever is here.

Notice what happens to the quality of your presence when you're not resisting anything.

Notice the space of receptivity.

Noticing the breath moving in and out.

Noticing the sensations,

The changing flow of aliveness.

You might widen the attention to take in the space around you.

Noticing if you can contact the experience of being held in this space.

No need to think about this,

Just noticing how you're contained in some way in this space.

And again,

Softening and deepening the breath.

Really letting your mind rest on just this,

Just now.

Nothing more.

Not looking to add anything,

To have a certain experience.

Just this,

Just this breath.

And the mind may want to take you in a million different directions.

No worries.

Whenever you notice that,

Just come right back to here,

Just this.

Nothing to do,

Nothing to gain,

Nothing to lose even,

Nothing to get right,

No one to be.

Just more and more fully coming into this moment,

What's actually here,

This aliveness of the breath and the body breathing.

And moving through emotions,

Moving through thoughts,

Moving through.

Resting more and more fully in the breath,

Trusting that that's all that's needed,

Just this breath.

And you might take a moment to tune into the quality of stillness or silence that you find here,

Right here.

And taking a few more full deep breaths.

And seeing if there is anything that you might be able to soften even a little bit more.

You might check in with the shoulders,

The chest,

The eyes,

The belly,

The forehead.

And seeing if you can bring the softest smile in the world to your lips.

Really,

Really soft smile here.

And just,

Just,

Beautiful to come to really feel the warmth And once more,

Re-arriving in the breath,

Just this.

Just the breath.

Nothing to search for,

Nothing to strive after,

Nothing to gain.

It's all right here already.

All you have to do is just quiet down and land right here,

Just the breath.

All you have to do is just quiet down and land right here,

Just the breath.
