Welcome to this morning meditation for when you have your period.

I'm Saras Nakroti and I'll be your guide today.

If you're on your period and feeling uncomfortable or low in energy,

This meditation is here to honor your body and help you find balance during the special time of the month.

Go ahead and find a comfortable position,

Whether you're sitting cross-legged,

In a chair with your feet on the ground,

Or maybe you want to lie down.

Just listen to what your body needs today.

Gently close your eyes if that feels safe.

And then take a deep breath in,

Breathe in a sense of calm and care for yourself.

And as you exhale,

Release any tension or discomfort or heaviness you may be holding.

And now just let your breath find its own gentle rhythm.

Now bring your awareness to your body,

Feel the air on your skin,

The clothes that touch you softly,

And the surface beneath you supporting you fully.

Notice the weight of your body and allow gravity to hold you.

This is a time when your body is asking for rest and it's okay to lean into that.

Let yourself feel supported.

You don't need to push through,

Just be here,

Now.

As you keep breathing,

Bring your attention to your lower belly.

Put your hands on it.

You might feel some discomfort,

Cramping,

Or heaviness.

This is your body working in harmony with the natural cycles of life.

Inhale deeply,

Sending warmth and relaxation to any areas that feel tight or uncomfortable.

Now exhale,

Releasing any resistance you may feel toward this time of the month.

Your period is a time of renewal,

A chance for your body to reset.

Even when you feel uncomfortable,

Try to remember that this is your moon time,

A powerful connection to nature's rhythms.

It's a moment to slow down and honor yourself.

You are not weaker because of this.

You are in tune with the deeper wisdom of your body.

Take a deep breath in,

Filling yourself with the energy of the earth,

Grounding and calming.

This is the time to be gentle with yourself,

To listen to your needs,

And to trust that your body knows exactly what it's doing.

Now,

Behind your closed eyes,

Imagine the phases of the moon above you,

Cycling through the night sky.

Just like the moon waxes and wanes,

Your energy flows in cycles too.

You don't always need to be at your brightest.

Sometimes it's okay to retreat,

To reflect,

And to recharge.

This is your time to do that,

To let go of expectations and simply be.

Take another deep breath,

And as you exhale,

Let go of any discomfort or self-judgment.

You don't need to do it all today.

This is your time to slow down,

To move with ease,

And to honor your body's needs.

Trust that,

Like the moon,

Your energy will rise again.

But for now,

Give yourself permission to rest,

To be gentle,

And to embrace this time as a gift of renewal.

And now,

Just enjoy this moment of stillness,

Of being fully present in your body,

In this sacred time of your cycle.

Feel the nurturing energy of your breath grounding and healing you for the day ahead.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes and return to the present moment,

Carrying with you a sense of peace,

Empowerment,

And the knowing that you are connected to something greater.
