Welcome to this breathing color meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position and gently close your eyes.
And just take a moment to check in with yourself right now.
Are there any thoughts you can let go of?
Is there a very present physical sensation maybe?
And if so,
Just pay attention to it without needing to change it.
And then listen to your breath.
Just notice where in your body there is an effect because of your breath.
Maybe your chest moves up and down.
Maybe your belly moves forward and back.
But maybe you even feel your breath in your face or in your legs.
And then we will start to breathe in color.
So as you breathe in and out,
Can you think and feel the color red?
What does your red look like?
Is it bright or dark?
And maybe notice if any emotion comes up with this color.
And with your next few breaths,
Gently imagine the red fading into orange.
As you breathe orange in and through your body out.
Maybe the color can remind you of someone,
A person,
Or maybe even a memory.
And just allow your thoughts to drift to that a little bit.
Whatever shade your orange was,
It gently gets lighter and brighter as it turns into yellow,
The color of the sun.
And just feel the warmth of this sun through your whole body.
As you breathe,
You fill up with warm yellow breaths.
Warmth is entering your body and also leaving your body on the exhale.
From the sun,
We move to the nature that is nourished by the sun.
We visualize a color green.
It can be light,
It can be darker.
Just notice what color is your green.
Does the breathing in maybe happens with a different shade of green compared to your breathing out?
Or does it change?
From the plants and the trees,
We move into their roots that suck up water from the earth.
Imagine a blue stream entering and leaving your body as you breathe.
Is it a flowing river,
A little creek,
Or a full ocean that's moving through you,
Washing out everything you don't need right now?
Can you enjoy this feeling like your whole body is being flushed?
And gently the blue turns into a violet color.
What color appears to you?
Can you spread it through your body?
That's the only thing you have to focus on right now.
Any other thoughts are not necessary right now.
Just breathe violet in and out.
And then as we're about to close this meditation,
Just notice if anything pleasant or positive or comforting came up during the breathing.
Was there a specific color that helped you in a way?
Or did any memory come up?
Anything is fine.
But maybe just take this as an impulse for the rest of your day,
A little secret,
A little thought to carry with you or to share.
And then I wish you a lovely day with or without rainbows.
