Good evening and welcome to our chakra meditation practice where we will be using sound and visualization to guide you into a deep relaxation.

Please begin by breathing deeply into your body so that we can let go of the day.

Sit with your eyes closed comfortably with your back straight and tall and your sitting bones grounded.

As I guide you through the meditation I welcome you to bring your awareness to each chakra,

The colors,

Sensations and the Bhishma mantra as we move through your body.

Let's begin breathing deeply and slowly from the abdomen.

Place your hands there and feel your stomach rising and falling with each breath.

As you breathe in allow your abdomen to rise and as you breathe out let it fall.

Focus all your attention now on your breathing.

Breathing in through the nose and blowing gently out through your mouth slowly and deeply.

Breathing in relaxation and out tension and stress.

Feel yourself slowing down.

Notice how your slow breathing is beginning to induce a state of deep relaxation.

Breathing in and breathing out.

In and out.

As you are listening to the sound of my voice and the gentle music in the background you can feel yourself drifting into a more relaxed state of being.

Breathing in relaxation and blowing out all tensions.

Any thoughts that were bothering you just disappearing for the time being.

This relaxation time is just for you and you can let all those thoughts go while you focus on your breath.

You feel a warm wonderful sensation of relaxation in your body as you allow all the tension to float away,

Drifting away.

You feel each and every muscle,

Every nerve relax.

You feel your eyelids become heavy and relax comfortably on your eyes.

It feels good to close your eyes and just rest in the quiet of your own inner awareness.

Allow your jaw to relax and hang loose,

Letting go of any tension you may be carrying.

Notice the warm feeling spreading down your neck all the way down your spine and lower back like a flow of comfort,

Peacefully moving through you,

Moving through that sensation of warmth and relaxation.

Allow this feeling of comfort to enter your chest and relax all your internal organs.

Breathe into them and let any tension you find release with your exhale.

Feel your entire body now from your head to your toes relaxed.

You are completely relaxed now.

No one wanting anything from you.

This is just your time,

Time for you to relax in awareness of the sensations and your breath.

We're going to visualize the base chakra now.

The first energy center at the base of your spine.

See it as a red sphere burning bright.

It is related to the energy center of your spine.

Red sphere burning bright.

It is related to survival and instinct.

It is related to our smell,

Our connection with the physical earth,

A sense of grounding and survival instincts,

Pleasure,

Pain and sexuality.

Imagine this red rotating sphere of energy pulsating positive love and energy and releasing any tension and negative energy.

The bhija mantra for the root chakra is lam.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Feel the sound inside the chakra.

Breathe in and out.

Now move to the sacral chakra.

The second chakra,

The color orange.

It's related to taste,

The inner child,

Creativity,

Vulnerability,

Spontaneity and innocence.

The chakra is also related to balanced sexuality and harmonious relationships.

See it as a rotating healing sphere pulsating with positive energy.

As you exhale,

Release any blocked energy.

The bhija mantra for the sacral chakra is vamm.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Feel the sound chakra and breathe in and out.

Feel the sensation of the sound within the chakra.

We move now gently and slowly through the third chakra above the navel and below the chest.

See a bright yellow chakra,

A golden sphere.

This is the color of personal power,

The self-esteem and ego.

This is the chakra of self-control and enhanced energy,

Your power center.

Breathe into it and release.

The bhija mantra for the solar plexus is ram.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Feel the sound inside the chakra,

Breathing in and out.

Now bring your energy up to the fourth chakra in the center of your chest.

See a green sphere of energy vibrating and rotating.

It represents compassion and love,

Confidence,

Expansion,

Acceptance,

Openness,

Trust and inspiration.

Breathe into it breathe into it and rotate your green sphere of energy.

The bhija mantra is yam.

Breathe in and breathe out.

YAM.

Feel the sound inside the chakra,

Breathing in and out.

Now breathe into the fifth chakra.

See your blue light of your throat chakra.

This is your center for speech,

Communication,

Self-expression.

When our throat chakra is open and clear of blockages,

We can speak our truth with integrity and authenticity.

We can manifest and create impulses through our personal authority.

Breathe in positive energy and visualize the blue sphere turning and vibrating with openness,

Positivity and love.

The bhija mantra for the throat chakra is hum.

Breathing in and breathing out.

HUM.

Feel the sound inside the chakra,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing in and out.

Exhaling any negative energy as we move to the sixth chakra.

Breathing energy into your sixth chakra,

Your third eye.

Visualize the color indigo in the middle of your forehead.

It has to do with the light and inner vision,

Compassion,

Unity,

Divine understanding,

Wisdom,

Intuition and universal intelligence.

See a rotating indigo sphere at the third eye,

Taking a deep breath and release.

The bhija mantra for the third eye chakra is om.

Breathing in and breathing out.

HUM.

Feel the sound inside the chakra,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Breathing into the seventh chakra,

Seventh chakra,

The chakra of knowledge and intuition,

Awareness of oneness with the source,

Meaning,

Devotion,

Inspiration and conscious alignment with pure awareness and purpose.

See the color violet pulsing and vibrating in your third eye area.

Now see a line connecting all the chakras together.

Feel yourself surrounded by a technicolor rainbow of light.

The bhija mantra is om.

Breathing in and breathing out.

This mantra is to be felt and uttered silently inside the mind.

Feel the sound inside the chakra,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Feeling a sense of well-being and balance throughout your entire body.

You may wish to move through each chakra from the base and as you visualize each color,

See the wheel transform into a lotus flower.

As you breathe in and exhale,

You may visualize the petals of the lotus opening so that you can continue the balancing and healing as you move into your sleep this evening.

Starting with the root chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

The sacral chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

The solar plexus chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

Heart chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

Throat chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

Third eye chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

And the crown chakra,

Breathing in and exhaling.

Feel yourself balanced with a sense of well-being.

You feel wonderfully healthy and happy,

Relaxed and at peace.

When you are ready,

Begin to come back,

Stretching and opening your eyes.

Take your time,

Feeling refreshed and balanced.

Open your eyes.
