Welcome to the Soul Infused Monday Show.

Today episode number 237 called Simplify Your Life with five powerful,

They're simple but powerful strategies to create more joy in your life.

Life hasn't been really simple lately.

It has been a struggle for many of us.

It's a very challenging time.

There's a lot of uncertainty.

It often seems like we're on a roller coaster up and down.

And there is also so much energy and overwhelm and constant information and input and things outside of us that create a lot of stress.

And I think it's time to simplify again,

It's time to reconnect to what's really important and to remove some of the things in our lives that are creating also that sense of overwhelm and a sense of turmoil and being scattered and overwhelmed.

Now,

Why is that important?

Because when we are in a constant fight or flight response,

If there's constantly overwhelm or things to deal with,

There is very little time or space to feel grounded and present and centered.

And we need all of that from an energetic level in order to create joy,

In order to feel joyful,

In order to have fun,

In order to really focus on what's most important.

So I'm going to share with you today five strategies that you can implement starting today so that you can start simplifying your life.

Now,

These strategies are simple,

But also super powerful.

And there's also a level of needed commitment and consistency to make this actually work.

Simply by even deciding to simplify your life,

You will already put the focus there.

So simply by you even thinking about simplifying your life,

It will make a difference.

Now,

I'm going to share with you five strategies and I'm going to go quickly through them.

It won't happen overnight most likely,

But it will make a huge difference and you can pick and choose.

Some of them might trigger,

Some of them might create resistance,

Some of them might create judgment.

And that is great because anything that creates a response inside of you,

A reaction,

Even if it looks like a so-called negative reaction,

There is an opportunity to look deeper because if anything triggers you or anything creates resistance in you,

There is something for you to look deeper.

Whether they smoke,

They aspire somehow.

I am going to start with sharing the first strategy.

I get to say one more thing.

There are many more strategies to simplify your life.

Now,

I just chose five.

They came to mind that I wanted to share with you today.

There's much more you can do and I'm only scratching the surface here,

But I wanted to give you something to get you started.

Are you ready?

The first strategy I call it,

Stay in the step you are in.

Stay in the step you are in.

That means take it one step at a time.

However,

Stay in the present moment and focus on the present step that is important and relevant now.

It sounds easier said than done because what we often do,

If we are focused on one thing,

We have a task and we know one thing to do.

However,

We are already worrying and thinking about what we do next.

And by doing that,

You're not present with the step you're in and you're worrying about something that hasn't even happened yet.

It's a strategy,

But it's a habit.

It's a way of looking at things.

It's a mindset.

So stay in the step you are in.

And it doesn't matter if it's business related,

If it's health related,

If it's daily basis related,

Something.

Stay in the step you are in.

And you do that by coming back to the present moment and you ask yourself,

What is relevant right now?

Not the next step two,

Three,

And four or 27,

Because you got to finish one first to be ready for the next.

Of course,

There are exceptions and you might want to create first a vision and an overall plan,

And that is all good.

However,

In general,

We worry too much about the future,

Or maybe we are judging the past that we are not where we want to be instead of staying in the present moment.

So strategy number one,

Stay in the step you are in.

Strategy number two,

That is one that you've heard a million times before,

I'm sure,

And that we can revisit over and over again.

And I am revisiting this myself right now.

Strategy number two is stop over complicating it.

Stop over complicating things.

Just stop over complicating.

We are really good at it to over complicate things.

Let's be honest.

So we got to look at ourselves first without judgment,

Simply by checking,

Okay,

Where am I over complicating things?

And how can I simplify my life by taking a step back and looking at it and check,

Okay,

If I wouldn't over complicate it,

What would I do right now?

Where am I over complicating this?

What is the simplest solution?

How can I make this easy?

I hope you're taking notes.

All these questions are super valuable in helping you to stop over complicating.

Over complicating is also something that we do in our head and it's like a spinning wheel.

One thought leads to the other and we start over complicating more like a domino effect,

Bing,

Bing,

Bing,

Bing,

Bing.

So take a breath.

Step outside for a moment,

Again,

Become present and check in and decide and choose the path of least resistance and least complications.

That's strategy number two.

And there's so much more to say.

I want to add one more thing.

It's also the mindset of back to basics.

What's working?

Back to basics.

Stop over complicating it.

Stop over complicating it.

That's strategy number two.

Strategy number three could trigger someone and it's a very important one.

And if you follow this one,

It will make your life much easier,

Much better and much fulfilling,

Much more fulfilling.

Strategy number three is mind your own business.

And take a breath,

Take a deep breath.

For different people,

This will create different reactions or will resonate differently.

However,

Mind your own business.

What do I mean by that?

Focus on your own business first.

And I'm not talking about business as a business,

As a work.

It's like your own stuff,

Your own life,

Your own inner world,

Your own inner world,

Your own creation.

Mind your own business means take care of yourself.

Take care of your responses.

Take care of your creation.

Take care of your life.

Take care of your loved ones if you want to.

Like what's close to you.

And stop trying to change other people.

Stop middling around other people's business where your nose doesn't belong.

Unless they ask you for advice.

Stop trying to control the environment or other people.

Stop taking to responsibility for others where it's not your responsibility.

This we get to all take a hard look at us and see,

Okay,

Where am I actually focused on something else that is not my own business.

And of course,

You're gonna take care of the people you love,

You're gonna be there for them.

But there's a huge difference between being of contribution,

Being of service,

While you take care of yourself and you mind mainly your own business versus going out and trying and doing and taking responsibility where it's not your place.

That's an important one.

Yeah,

There's much more to say.

But again,

As I said in the beginning,

I'm only gonna scratch the surface and you will take and pick and choose whatever resonates with you.

And you right now,

You know what that means for you.

You just know.

You don't need to justify,

You don't need to explain.

You can pick and choose.

Maybe this resonates with you and maybe you're great and not doing that.

But strategy number three is mind your own business.

Strategy number four.

I love that one.

It's a tough one for many of us.

And I have been in it this year in particular,

And I'm loving it.

Strategy number four is let go of stuff.

Write it down.

Let go of stuff.

Let go of stuff.

I'm just gonna say it one more time.

Let go of stuff.

And by stuff,

And by stuff,

I mean internal things and external things.

Internal things means obviously you get to do the inner work if there are things that you want to let go,

Habits or patterns,

Behaviors that are not serving you.

On the outside,

I literally mean things.

Let go of stuff.

Most of us have way too much stuff.

Declutter.

Get rid of things.

Sell it.

Give it away.

Donate it.

And one tip for doing this,

A really great tip is when you want to let go of stuff.

And of course,

We are attached to it.

We are not sure.

We overcomplicate it.

So you can intertwine these strategies.

Actually,

When letting go,

We have the tendency to overcomplicate.

So if you are open and willing and determined and inspired now to let go of stuff in your house,

For example,

I'm just making one example,

And you're not sure or you struggle,

You can simply do this.

Take an item,

Something,

It could be anything,

And you're not sure.

Do I want to give it away or do I want to keep it?

You ask the question or you tune in.

It's more tuning in.

Is this a yes,

Or is this a no?

Is this a yes to keeping it or is it a no?

If it's a yes,

A pure,

Honest,

Soulful,

Heartful yes,

Where you feel like this item is bringing me joy.

I love this item.

I use it.

It's a part of my life.

Then keep it.

If it's a no,

Or even a maybe,

A maybe for me,

It's a no.

Unless it's not really benefiting me in some way,

Let it go.

Give it away.

Another way you can do that is on a scale from zero to ten.

Ten is be top,

Ten is super,

And zero is absolutely no.

It's not good.

It's not beneficial.

It's nothing.

It's not even creating joy.

It's like zero out of ten.

This item,

If you would give it a number in your household or in any other area,

But this is just an example,

Give it a number and you very intuitively quickly know the answer.

Don't over complicate it.

And if it's not at least,

For me personally,

It needs to be at least a seven or more,

Generally an eight,

Between eight and ten.

If it's less than an eight,

Or for you,

You can maybe make it a six.

If it's less than this number,

Give it away.

Let it go.

Let it go.

You can do that with items.

You can let go of people.

You can let go of behaviors.

You can let go of things.

You can let go of so many things.

It can be anything.

Take inventory.

Strategy number four,

Let go of stuff.

And I'm sure right now in your mind,

You're going through some things and you already thought of at least one thing that you want to let go of.

I could bet that there's already one thing in your mind,

Something internal or external,

And you think,

I really could let that go.

And to help you do that,

I invite you to share that with me.

Share with me one thing that you want to let go,

Just to get the energy going,

Just to get you inspired and to declare it that you want to let go of that.

And maybe you will already let go of that.

Maybe you have already decided that and share it with me.

What is it that you are going to let go?

Strategy number five and final strategy just for today.

And also this one is super important in general for your life and could also be a challenging one.

Strategy number five is,

Say no more often,

But also say yes more often.

Huh,

Tricky.

So let me say this again.

Strategy number five is say no more often,

But also say yes more often.

Let me say a little bit more about this.

In general,

Unless you are,

And I'm sure you are not because otherwise you are,

Would you wouldn't really listen to this.

If you are someone that is kind and helpful and of service and has good intentions and loves to help people,

Saying no might be a challenge for you.

But unless you are a super selfish and you don't care about anyone that I don't believe,

You get to say no more often.

Now you want to be clear on what to say no more.

Often and where to say yes more often,

But to simplify your life,

You wanna choose and filter what to say yes to.

Many,

Maybe you are great in setting boundaries.

I'm very good at it now,

But I really sucked at it.

When I started my journey,

I was such a pleaser and I couldn't even say no.

I was saying yes,

Yes,

Yes.

And it's not healthy and it's not beneficial for anyone.

Actually,

It's certainly not for you.

People tend to take advantage of you.

You tend to get burned out and it creates resentment and it can create a lot of unhealthy behavior and patterns and even disease in your body.

So say no more often.

Say no more often,

But say yes more often.

Two things that are true to you that create presence,

Joy,

And a healthy feeling within yourself.

And that can also be people,

Favors,

Anything that anyone asks you to do.

Check in twice,

Tune in.

Is it a yes?

Is it a no?

And you make a conscious decision and it's okay to say no when it's not in your best and highest good.

And sometimes we choose to say yes to things that we might not want to do,

But you make a conscious choice because you want to help someone and that's okay too.

But you want to make a conscious choice and you want to be able to say no and not feel forced or obligated because of your pattern or because of feeling guilty or because you're afraid of being selfish.

You want to say no more often and say yes more often as well.

There's so much more to say to this one.

Being able to even say no is super,

Super crucial for your well-being on so many levels.

And because I know that my community,

The people that I attract are super hot for,

Generous,

Loving,

Kind.

And in general,

The balance is for them to really say no more often.

So maybe that resonates with you.

And if so,

This is my invitation.

The one thing also with saying no more often,

It creates time and space for you to really say no.

Time and space for what's really important.

When you say yes too many times and when you keep pleasing and doing things that you actually don't want to do,

It creates resentment and it also robs the time and space to do the things that are actually beneficial for yourself and others.

So you are actually contributing better or you are of service and helpful or more helpful when you have the space and the energy to do so because you're not burned out or you're dealing with resentment or you feel like a victim of someone because they're taking advantage of you.

And I want to hear from you.

Number one was stay in the step you're in.

Strategy number one.

Strategy number two was stop over complicating.

Strategy number three is mind your own business.

I feel this is going to be a really good one for many.

Number four is let go of stuff.

Also a very good one.

And that one you can start today.

You can start right away this moment.

Let go of something.

Let go of something today.

Anything that you can do,

Do it today.

And strategy number five is say no more often but also say yes more often to the right things.

The things that are really important.

While you are thinking and leaving your biggest takeaway,

Your favorite strategy,

These strategies are super powerful.

You can implement them right away right now.

However they require commitment,

Consistency,

And ability and capacity to become centered and present in the moment.

It requires you doing the deeper inner work to peel off the layers that are actually holding you back from being able to maybe fulfill all these strategies or being able to say no.

Being able to let go.

Being able to detach from being outside and doing and going inward so that you can feel centered,

Grounded,

And confident within yourself so that you can help or do whatever you want to do from a centered and conscious position and out of choice and not out of automatic programming.

So this is super super important.

And you also get to really daily recommit to daily have a practice of quality time.

You want to take everyday quality time to reinforce this,

To set intentions,

To focus on the things that you are going to create throughout the day.

All of this is foundational in order for these strategies to really work.

So much stuff of my parents but it's hard to let go.

I hear you.

I haven't said it's easy.

It's a process.

It's a process.

You gotta let go of the attachment and maybe create a different connection instead of keeping it unless you want to keep it.

Biggest takeaway for me number five,

Setting boundaries and saying no goes together.

Absolutely.

Mind your own business and set healthy boundaries.

Wonderful.

Stay in the step you're in.

This is a great,

Great,

Great one.

Take away no to over complicating.

I want to let go of more past paperwork that I no longer need.

So good one.

Yes.

Keep papers forever.

I love the simplicity of asking is it a yes or a no?

As I move away from the past and let go of more stuff.
