Namaste,
Sacred Soul.
In the ancient system of Yoga,
Our core,
The ultimate reality of existence,
Is represented by three words β Sath,
Chit,
Ananda.
Sath means the truth of who you are,
Chit means conscious awareness of that truth,
And Ananda means happiness or bliss.
According to the ancient yogic wisdom,
You and I,
At our core,
Are bliss bodies.
This meditation is a simple attempt to try and begin our journey to a blissful core.
Find a comfortable place to sit,
Where you would be undisturbed.
I would recommend sitting with your shoulders relaxed and chest up.
Close your eyes and arrive in the here and now.
Bring a gentle,
Loving smile on your face.
Now take a deep inhale that fills your belly and exhale slow and long through the mouth.
Let's do this one more time,
One deep,
Fresh inhale and a relaxing,
Slow,
Long exhale.
Let your breathing follow its natural rhythm now and arrive in the present moment.
Become aware that you have a body.
Visualize a reflection of yourself right in front of you.
This reflection is your purest self,
Your bliss body.
As you sit with the bliss body,
Mentally ask yourself,
May I be at ease?
May I be at ease?
May I be at ease?
Imagine whatever comes up without judgment and visualize your bliss body,
Smile and nod.
Mentally repeat these words,
I am at ease.
I am at ease.
At ease.
I will hold space for you for a few seconds to linger in this sensation of ease.
As you feel the sensations of ease,
Visualize the reflection of yourself and ask,
May I be safe?
May I be safe?
May I be safe?
As you repeat this question,
Feel that feeling of safety.
Visualize your reflection,
Your bliss body,
Again nod and give you permission and mentally repeat,
I am safe.
I am safe.
I am safe.
I'm going to allow you to feel whatever it is that safety means to you,
To revel in this feeling for a few seconds.
As you linger in the feeling of safety,
Could you ask yourself,
May I be happy?
May I be happy?
May I be happy?
Visualize your bliss body,
Smile wide and nod and say a big yes.
I want you to smile now and repeat,
I am happy.
I am happy.
I am happy.
Whatever this means to you,
Happiness,
Could you invite that sensation?
I'll hold space for you as you do this.
As we draw close to the end of this practice,
Allow this feeling of a safe embrace,
Of ease and happiness to stay with you for as long as possible.
Become aware of your body,
Feel any sensations that you can feel.
Become aware of the here and now.
Awareness to any sounds you can hear.
Awareness of the touch of the body on the mat or the chair and whenever you're ready,
Gently open your eyes with a smile.
