Day five.
Welcome your body and your breath to your meditation practice.
Please find a comfortable seat sitting with your eyes softly closed.
Tune into the rhythm of your breath,
Feeling the breath as it draws deeper into your belly and up into your heart,
Allowing the breath to create an inner smile inside,
Welcoming your friend,
One that's with you all the time,
The sweet companion of your life,
That life force of your breath,
Allowing your breath to help support you,
Ground you,
And equally allow your spine to elongate and grow,
Effortlessly stretching through the crown of your head as your heart blooms,
The shoulders and head rest back.
Our intention for today is passion,
Igniting the gift that allows you to become even more of who you already are,
To listen to the heart song,
To let yourself stretch into what brings you joy.
Passion lives first deep into the lower belly.
We can even place our hands there.
Again,
It's that womb space of creativity,
Creation.
Continuing to feel a diaphragmatic breath,
We're going to do a little bit of a more fiery breath practice now to help support igniting a little more of that fire of passion.
The breath will be focused on the exhalation,
Allowing your inhalations to be relaxed.
So hands can be on your belly,
Keeping your spine nice and tall.
You'll sometimes hear this breath called breath of fire.
In Sanskrit,
We call it Kapalabhati breathing.
So again,
Really just focus on the exhalation,
Allowing your inhalation to come in just naturally.
We'll do this together.
So if you'd like one hand on the belly,
Keeping a nice tall spine,
Take a breath in.
And as you exhale,
Pump through your belly,
A forceful and then let your inhale come.
And we'll speed this up starting now.
Deep breath in and begin.
Exhale all the breath out.
Deep inhalation through your nose.
And then please hold your breath here at the top.
You can drop your chin in a little towards your chest.
Think of holding all of this energy,
This prana in your torso,
Not letting it lift up out of your throat into your head or out of your body.
Keep holding.
So this breath practice is all through the nose if possible.
You're making kind of that most whispering sound in the back of the throat as you pump the breath.
All right,
Now lift your chin and exhale it out.
You'll feel the prana rise up the spine through the crown.
Give yourself a moment.
Let yourself land back down like sand in an hourglass.
Connect back to a strong foundation.
Re-establish your roots into the earth.
We'll do this breath practice again.
If you feel lightheaded or dizzy,
You back up or you just do a little bit of a softer version.
Let's all take a deep inhalation and pumping out the breath on the exhale.
Exhale all the breath out.
Deep inhalation.
Drop your chin in towards your chest and hold.
Relax as you're holding your breath.
No tension in your face.
And slowly lift your chin and exhale all the breath out.
Again,
Feel that sensation of energy rising,
Clearing away any clouds in the mind,
The upper body.
So we get to feel a little lighter after this practice,
A little brighter even.
But once again,
Allow yourself a moment to land back down,
Softening any expression on your face,
Releasing any tension in your shoulders,
Settling your awareness towards the base of your spine and grounding yourself again and again into the earth.
As we feel more connected to the earth,
We can lighten up in the upper part of the body.
We're just going to do this one final time.
Deep breath in and begin.
Exhale all the breath out.
Deep inhalation.
Chin towards your chest,
Hold the breath.
Soften into the hole.
See if you can find an anchored place even while you're feeling the prana,
Wanting to rise.
Hold it.
Good.
As you're ready,
Lift up your chest.
Good.
As you're ready,
Lift the chin and exhale.
Follow that exhalation up the spine through the crown,
Almost like a waterfall that is rushing down from the crown of your head down your body.
As you feel that prana rise,
Let yourself land.
You might find now the breath a little bit more deeply happening inside from belly to heart and heart to belly.
And then once again,
As we settle,
You can let yourself settle a little lower,
A little deeper in towards the lower belly area into that seat of your creativity,
Place where you seed intention and with breath begin to spark it,
Water it.
Almost feel that excitement of new growth,
Like something is sprouting,
Something is happening within yourself.
And passion just simply needs the watering of positivity sprinkled with a little hope and joy.
So what is it that you can resonate with with ease to bring you to that space inside of yourself?
And we'll sit in silence together,
Holding that resonance.
You can use the help of mantra if you have one or an affirmation.
We've been using Abhijja Om Hrim Shrim This is a goddess Bija of creativity,
Beauty,
Abundance.
Think Lakshmi.
Shrim Shrim you you you you you can stay meditating as long as you'd like if you need to move on reach the arms to the sky and stretch and gratitude hands come together at the heart we bow into that space of the heart it has room for even more than you could ever imagine as you bow your head you can even bow your body and touch the earth or your legs and as you arise remember always that your practice is dedicated to the benefit of all beings you
