Transform stress into positive energy.
Feel free to take this time now to find a comfortable space to sit or lie down so that your whole body feels at ease.
Let yourself position your body in a way where energy can easily flow through all parts of your body.
When we experience stress it can consume a big part of our mind and our energy.
It can be draining and lower our mood,
Narrow our perspective.
But we can shift the experience of stress into a positive one if we're willing to open our perspective,
Breathe,
And let go just a little bit.
So instead of trying to get rid of stress,
Change it right when it happens.
We can learn to be present with our stressors,
With our thoughts,
With our fears.
When we're stressed,
We're scared that we might not possibly meet the demands of life.
So we're going to take this opportunity to breathe through fears,
To face them fully.
Take this time now to relax into your body,
Become aware of your center,
And imagine the center of your body where that is.
And notice what it feels like there in the center of your being.
If you feel some tension or gripping,
Notice what helps you soften there just a little bit and become aware of what makes you feel completely safe and secure.
You can even affirm to yourself that it's safe for me to let go and be present,
Wholly present in this moment.
When we feel that sense of safety,
It's easier to be present,
To be here,
Breathing in and breathing out.
Let yourself drop your awareness into your entire body,
Gently focusing on the very bottoms of your feet.
And go ahead and scan the bottoms of your feet from your toes to your heels and from your heels to your toes.
And as you scan the bottom of your feet,
Imagine that you're bringing more energy into your feet.
Now bring your attention to your lower back and imagine gently scanning your lower back.
So you'll scan up from your lower back to the mid back,
And then back down to the very tip of your tailbone.
And each time you scan that area,
Feeling a sense of relaxation and spaciousness,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Scanning your lower back.
It's like a wave that moves back and forth,
Letting the scan release any energy and tension.
And now let's gently move to our head.
Imagine scanning from your left ear to your right ear,
Then back from your right ear to your left ear.
Just gently scanning between the ears,
A gentle wave moving back and forth.
I'm aware of the sensation and the experience.
Now imagine scanning your body from the top of your head all the way down through your spine to the very base of your spine.
And gently scan the whole area of your spine all the way up to the top,
And then back down to the bottom.
Scanning with your awareness,
With your breath.
Gently bring your hands together,
Gentle clasp of your hands on your lap or above your belly.
And imagine energy moving from your right hand to your left hand,
From your left hand to your right hand.
Energy moving back and forth effortlessly,
Almost like a figure eight,
Moving back and forth.
Let yourself surrender to this relaxing sensation.
Now just imagine one thing that has represented an area of stress for you,
And you can put it out in front of you like a little bubble that you can see.
And just take time to look at it,
But clearly see the reality of the stressor for you.
And as you are present with the stressor,
Go ahead and imagine scanning from your right eye to your left eye,
And your left eye to your right eye.
So just gently scan and relax as you scan between each eye,
Relaxing your eyeballs,
Letting yourself receive this pleasant sensation between your eyes.
You might notice that you naturally come to a still point and allow yourself to become still.
And take a look at that stressor one more time and see if it seems as stressful as it was before that has reduced for you in any way.
And just ask yourself,
What is the opportunity for me here?
What is the opportunity?
Let yourself breathe into your heart and notice what your heart is telling you about the situation.
What is your deeper heart telling you?
Your heart had a voice,
What would it say?
And if you're waiting for an answer,
Just imagine drawing a star inside your heart very slowly in all corners of your heart,
Just very slowly drawing a star,
Filling out the space within your heart and allowing that star to begin to glow with every stroke,
Any holding in your heart area.
Bring your attention to your left shoulder and your right shoulder and gently scan between your left shoulder and your right shoulder.
And every time you scan,
You just feel a sense of spaciousness,
A little softening,
That sense of safety to be with the sensation of scanning and clearing any energy,
Blocks,
Fears.
And see if you can tell yourself one thing one thing that would empower you in this quote-unquote stressful situation.
What's an empowering thought that you could have?
And breathe in that thought into your heart,
Breathe in into the center of your being,
Be yourself being empowered in the situation.
What would it feel like to feel empowered?
Allow yourself to feel this feeling of empowerment,
Of growth,
Renewed perspective.
And then gently close by scanning from the left hip to the right hip,
From the right hip to the left hip,
Just gently scanning your awareness from side to side,
Feeling that sense of balance and evenness of your left side and your right side,
Scanning until you find a place of stillness.
What would it take to release all your stress,
To surrender it over to the earth,
To a sacred fire,
To give yourself permission to transmute it transmute it into positive energy for right action?
There is a right action that's being called for whether it's a change in mindset,
Your approach,
Your actions,
Or even your intention.
What can you change from within?
And take this time to notice how you feel,
Take a nice deep breath into your center and exhale,
Let it go.
