Hello,
And thank you for choosing to reconnect to the natural world through meditation today.
We are going to jump right into experiencing nature through sound.
So if you are listening to this on headphones,
Feel free to take one out and keep listening through the other ear.
So let's return to the comfortable seat we were in yesterday.
Being in the same place will help us facilitate a relationship with the specific beings around us.
So feel the weight of your body where you are being supported by the earth.
And start to notice your breathing without attempting to change it at all.
You can start to adopt a soft gaze or even close your eyes if that feels supportive.
And just tune into listening.
Let the full amount of sound meet your ears and be absorbed by your body.
For the next few minutes,
We are just going to listen to everything.
The birds in the trees.
Maybe the cars driving by.
Or the speed walkers mid gossip.
Chatting on their phones.
We are just listening.
And not labeling them good or bad.
Not getting angry or upset that this is not a perfect nature experience.
We are just being with everything that is coming up in this place.
In this environment.
Moment to moment.
And if you find your mind wandering,
No worries.
Let's come back to listening.
Now,
Let's tune into the loudest sound you can hear.
And let's just be with that for a few minutes.
And now.
Switching to the quietest sound you can hear.
And now being with everything that is coming up in this place.
Now being with the space in between the sounds.
If any thoughts are intruding,
Just slowly,
Lovingly,
Come back to those blank spaces.
Now we can tune into the closest sound you can hear.
And instead of searching and labeling,
Just let your body tell you what that sound is.
And now the sound that is furthest away.
And now being with everything that is coming up in this place.
And now back to the space in between sounds.
And if you want to stay in this space longer,
Feel free to pause here.
But I'm going to slowly lead you out.
We can start to wiggle our shoulders,
Maybe nod and shake your head.
You can slowly open your eyes and look around or sharpen your gaze and look all around you.
Does anything feel different from when you sat down?
Maybe exploring what is more alive or at ease for you as you expand your awareness from listening to including all your senses.
And what is the quality of your being after spending this time in nature?
Accepting what comes and not judging.
This is always available to you.
Even in an office space or sitting on the train.
We are cultivating compassion.
Compassion with the natural world.
Compassion with other humans.
And compassion with ourselves.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day.
