Hi friends,

My name is Shania Gordon and I am really glad you're here.

I guide mindfulness and restorative practices that make rest and stillness feel accessible no matter what your day may look like.

I want to welcome you to this Harnessing Change for Growth meditation.

In this session,

We will focus on using the changes in your life as opportunities for personal development and growth.

By embracing change with a positive and proactive mindset,

You can transform challenges into valuable learning experiences and foster continuous growth.

Before we settle in,

I want to acknowledge that everyone arrives to practice carrying different experiences,

Different histories,

And sensations in their body.

You are invited to move through this meditation in a way that honors your capacity in this moment.

You can choose how much you participate and when to step away.

If at any point the practice feels overwhelming,

You can open your eyes,

Notice your surroundings,

Or place your attention on something that helps you feel more grounded and present.

I just want to remind you that this space is yours.

There's nothing you need to get right and nothing you need to push through.

My guidance is simply an invitation.

Your body and your spirit get the final say.

So as we begin,

You are welcome to find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or laying down,

Where you can be undisturbed for the next few minutes.

Now if it feels right,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

I invite you to take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs completely.

Slowly exhale,

Releasing any tension or stress.

Allow yourself to settle into this empowering and growth-focused moment.

Begin by focusing on your breath.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing.

Feel the cool air entering your nostrils as you inhale and the warm air leaving your nostrils as you exhale.

Observe the gentle rise and fall of your chest or abdomen with each breath.

Let your breath become a calming anchor for this meditation.

Now begin to bring your awareness to the concept of harnessing change for growth.

Imagine change as a powerful tool in your hands,

Ready to be used for your personal development.

Visualize yourself holding this tool with confidence,

Prepared to channel the energy of change into positive transformation.

See how it feels to visualize a garden where you are planting seeds of growth.

Each seed represents a change or challenge you've encountered.

See these seeds being nurtured by your positive actions and attitudes.

As you tend to this garden,

Watch as the seeds grow into vibrant plants,

Symbolizing the personal growth and learning that emerges from embracing change.

Focus on the positive emotions associated with harnessing change for growth.

Maybe you can feel the excitement,

Empowerment,

And the curiosity that comes with turning challenges into opportunities.

Maybe you can allow these feelings to fill your entire body,

Your entire being,

Creating a sense of motivation and readiness for growth.

If it feels right,

Maybe you can incorporate a supportive affirmation to enhance your mindset towards change.

I invite you to silently repeat to yourself,

I harness change as a catalyst for my growth.

I embrace challenges as opportunities for learning and transformation.

Let these words resonate within you.

Reinforcing your ability to turn change into a force for positive development.

As you continue to visualize harnessing change,

Imagine yourself facing any obstacles with a proactive and resourceful attitude.

Maybe see each challenge as an opportunity to learn and evolve,

And feel a deep sense of satisfaction as you grow through each experience.

Imagine the future as a landscape full of opportunities for growth.

Maybe you can visualize yourself confidently navigating this landscape,

Using the energy of change to propel you forward.

Picture yourself thriving and expanding as you embrace each new experience.

With an open heart and mind.

Now take a moment to express gratitude for the growth and learning that come from harnessing change.

Gently wiggling your fingers and toes and stretch your body.
