Welcome to this guided meditation for our journey through motherhood.

So this meditation is for all women who are or will be mothers.

So this is for women wanting to get pregnant,

For women who are pregnant,

For women who have newborns,

And for women who maybe their children are grown and older.

From my experience and from many women who I have spoken to,

Both friends,

Family,

And clients,

There have been times in our journey when it didn't go how we wanted it to or we wish it would have been something different.

We can hold a lot of pain in those moments and the beautiful thing about meditation and energy work is we can work outside of the bounds of time and send our love and our energy to ourselves in each of those moments.

So maybe those moments haven't happened yet or maybe they happened and they didn't happen in the way you had wished or you didn't feel the way you had wanted to feel.

In this meditation,

We can go through each step of that journey offering our love and our gratitude to ourselves,

To our baby,

To our community of support through all of those moments so that we can create those beautiful moments that we desire and we can heal from the pain and trauma that we might have created and carried with us.

And in this way,

We can learn to love our journey and love ourselves through this journey.

And yeah,

I'm really excited to share this with you as this has been an important part of my own healing and experience and ability to simply be present and enjoy each and every moment for what it is on this journey of motherhood.

So we begin with tuning into our breath,

Noticing your inhale and your exhale,

Tuning in to the rhythm of your breath.

And as we do this,

I want you to focus on your body in this present moment,

Feeling your body expand on your inhale and soften on your exhale.

Inhale and exhale,

Really tuning in to how your body feels in each moment,

Noticing what sensations arise on your inhale and what sensations arise on your exhale,

Allowing yourself to put your days and your tasks and your busy mind and your thoughts on hold for this moment and really allowing yourself to be present,

Taking this moment to honor the essence of yourself,

Your love,

Your child,

Your family.

Tuning into the rhythm of your breath.

Throughout this meditation,

I'll be running the energy.

So I ask you to bring your awareness to your body,

To your thoughts and your feelings,

And simply be aware of what comes to mind or comes to your attention,

Allowing yourself to be present.

Simply observe,

Possibly being curious,

And then sending your love to yourself in that moment and letting it go.

We will begin with preconception,

Working our way through pregnancy,

Labor and delivery,

Postpartum with a sleeping baby,

Snuggling your precious child and watching them grow.

Taking a moment to be present in each of those milestones,

Allowing yourself to notice what thoughts,

Feelings,

Emotions come to mind,

Knowing that the energy has a way of awakening what is stored within us.

And when we can see these parts of ourselves,

Be present with these hidden aspects,

Showing it light,

Showing it love,

Softening these areas,

Allowing ourselves to be present,

To lean in with joy,

Of experiencing this miracle of life that our bodies are literally able to create a child within us,

Bringing that child into this world and being able to care for this child.

Whenever you feel your thoughts have wandered,

Simply bringing your attention back to your mind.

But knowing your attention will wander for a reason.

So simply allowing and observing without judging or criticizing,

Just simply being present.

I invite you to imagine yourself before you consider having children,

Seeing yourself before you,

Noticing what arises,

Giving yourself a big hug and sharing that love with yourself,

Knowing that the best is yet to come.

So you can just relax and be present in this moment,

Allowing yourself the time and space to care for your body,

Your mind and your soul as you prepare for this journey ahead,

Where you'll bring a child into this world.

And now we will move to the moment when you realize you were pregnant.

Maybe you felt changes in your body,

Or maybe you didn't.

Simply noticing how this moment occurred for you,

Allowing yourself to bring in the love and gratitude as you start this moment as a mom.

You are a mom.

The rough part is knowing that we cannot control the outcome of our children.

So simply allowing ourselves to be present with each and every moment,

Noticing what thoughts and feelings arise,

Sending your love and gratitude to yourself in this moment.

You are now caring for your child.

And regardless of what that looks moving forward,

Your baby will feel your love.

Your baby knows the essence of you.

So you can rest assured that you're doing a great job,

Mama.

Notice how you're feeling in this pregnancy.

Imagine you can give yourself a big hug.

What would you tell yourself now?

Your pregnancy has progressed,

And you can now feel the movement of your child connecting with your little one in a new way,

Noticing what thoughts and feelings arise,

Nurturing yourself in this moment,

And bringing in what you need for this moment.

Showering yourself with this love and gratitude,

Offering yourself grace as you connect with your baby,

Noticing what thoughts,

Feelings,

Memories arise,

Simply being present,

Offering what you need to yourself in this moment.

The moment comes as you prepare for labor,

Noticing what comes up in this moment,

Allowing yourself to be present,

Offering this love and gratitude to yourself in this moment,

Giving yourself the support,

The knowledge,

The love that you need in this moment,

Feeling safe to ask for what you need,

And imagining that you can offer that to you now.

The moment comes now when you're able to hold your child.

You've brought your beautiful baby into this world,

Allowing yourself to be present,

To feel your baby,

Your body,

All the changes,

All the hormones,

All the love,

Just allowing yourself to bask in this moment,

Acknowledging the fact that you are now holding your child,

Noticing the thoughts and the feelings and the memories and the emotions that arise,

Allowing yourself to simply experience,

Without judging,

Criticizing,

Simply observing what you've been holding on to,

Asking,

Does this serve me,

Or can I let this go?

And giving yourself the permission to let go of what no longer serves you,

Making space to bring in this love,

Compassion,

And grace,

Simply noticing what is to be experienced.

You notice your baby's first cry,

First smile,

First feeding,

All the firsts,

Allowing yourself to simply be present and enjoy however that looked for you,

Letting go of what no longer serves you and bringing in that love,

Compassion,

And grace,

As you're now able to connect with your baby,

With your body,

Yourself,

And with the greater collective of moms who are on a similar journey as you,

Wanting to amplify their experience and be present through it all,

Knowing that you are not alone.

We are doing this together,

And collectively we can draw on this energy of love,

Community,

And support.

Your child is starting to roll over,

To eat solid foods,

To crawl,

To walk,

To talk,

Noticing what thoughts and feelings arise,

Knowing that as you are able to be present and offer that love and compassion and grace,

You are teaching your child to do the same because they watch our every move,

And they can watch how we react and we respond and how we learn to love ourselves and those around us,

And we can share that process with them,

Choosing to be present with our breath,

To simply observe,

To be curious,

Developing awareness,

Allowing yourself to bring in the dreams and the desires that you have for your journey,

For your family,

And for yourself,

Allowing yourself to experience it all,

To feel it all,

To not hide away or avoid,

Simply being present and choosing to love the journey.
