Hello friend,

Welcome to this guided sleep meditation,

Where I'll support you in letting go and surrendering to sleep.

Most of us struggle with some kind of stress within our personal lives and the world around us.

It's almost impossible to not be mentally affected by these things.

I'm happy that you're here and you will allow me to guide you in letting go,

So you can let your body rest and recover.

Sleep is one of the most important things we need for our body and mind to heal.

If you aren't getting enough sleep or good quality of sleep,

It begins to affect your life in many different ways.

Thank yourself for being here today and trying something that might help.

Before we begin,

Make sure you're ready for bed.

Get comfortable adjusting your blankets and pillows.

Spend a moment here adjusting your body to get into the most comfortable position for you.

Pause this audio if you need an extra minute and come back.

Now that you're comfortable,

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold at the top,

And release out through your nose.

We won't force anything or count how long to breathe today.

Just continue breathing in and out at the pace that works best for you in this moment.

You may begin to notice a shift as you get more relaxed.

During this sleep meditation,

We will be focusing on surrendering,

Letting go,

And not forcing anything.

Society has taught us that surrendering is a bad thing.

Society teaches us to never give up,

Which isn't always the best thing for your mind and body.

Surrendering in the context of emotional or spiritual practices involves the act of relinquishing control over certain aspects of your life,

Particularly those that may cause stress,

Anxiety,

Or pain.

This process can lead to significant personal growth and inner peace for many reasons.

People often resist situations or emotions that they cannot change,

Which can lead to frustration and suffering.

Surrendering is about acknowledging that some circumstances are beyond our control,

And allowing ourselves to accept them as they are.

This acceptance can reduce internal conflict and mental strain.

Come back to your breath,

Breathing in and breathing out.

By embracing our current situation rather than fighting against it,

We can cultivate a sense of acceptance.

This doesn't imply passivity or defeat.

Rather,

It means recognizing reality and finding ways to cope and adapt.

Breathing in deeply,

Exhaling slowly.

Surrendering creates space for personal growth.

When we let go of fixed expectations or outcomes,

We allow ourselves to be open to new possibilities and experiences.

This flexibility can lead to valuable insights,

Learning opportunities,

And personal transformation.

If your mind has wandered,

It's okay.

Just come back to your breath.

Focus on the in and the out.

Embracing surrender can reduce feelings of anxiety and overwhelm.

When we stop striving for unattainable perfection or certainty,

We often find more peace within,

Which can lead to better emotional regulation and overall well-being.

Breathing in deeply,

Exhaling slowly.

If you're still with me at this point,

Do a small check-in with your body.

Are you still tensing your muscles?

If so,

Bring attention to that area.

Breathe in deeply,

Seeing a healing light filling into that area.

And breathe out,

Letting a gentle sigh as your muscles melt to the surface below you.

Notice if you're feeling more relaxed now.

Breathing in,

And breathing out.

Surrendering is an empowering choice that can lead to profound changes in how individuals perceive themselves and their lives.

It encourages self-compassion,

Fosters resilience,

And nurtures a deeper connection to oneself and the world.

This mindset has disconnected us with our natural ability to listen to our own bodies and to decide for yourself when to stop and when to let go.

Pushing back or resisting sets a disconnect within your natural ability to listen to your body and to decide for yourself when to stop and let go.

Start to listen to your own needs,

Not the needs of others.

Coming back to your breath.

Breathe in deeply.

Let go softly.

Sit here for a few minutes,

Surrendering to your breath.

Letting your breath move in and out of your body as your body is designed to do.

Don't try to shift or change anything.

Breathe in,

And breathe out.

Continue like this on your own as you drift off to sleep.

You may or may not be sleeping by now.

Again,

This doesn't matter.

Just be.

In your mind,

Say these words to yourself.

I let go of the things I cannot control.

I let go of the things I cannot change.

The universe has a plan greater than mine.

I surrender all expectations.

I am calm in the chaos.

I release my attachment to specific outcomes.

I am open to unexpected blessings.

I let go of my fear of failure.

I am grateful for what I have,

And for what is on its way.

I embrace the flow of the universe.

I trust the universe,

And allow it to guide me.

I allow my mind and body to surrender to sleep.

I am feeling very relaxed.

Lie here longer,

Enjoying the sounds of the soothing music.

Rest well,

And surrender to sleep now.
