Hello.
You made it.
Well done on joining me in this meditation to wash the day away.
This breathing meditation will focus on the power of our breath to connect us back home into ourselves.
There are a total of 18 breaths and I'll be guiding each one just for you.
We'll alternate three deep and satisfying sighs with three rounds of easy slow and deep breathing in and out of the nose.
As we do so we'll allow the stress and the pressure of the day to fall away more and more with each breath.
We'll use the power of the sigh to clear and wash.
I want you to use it today to let go of any stress or tension that you have carried along with you through your day.
Let's start by finding a comfortable space for our meditation.
You are so welcome to lie down or to sit down,
Whatever you choose.
I invite you to take a moment here without rushing to create a safe,
Cozy and quiet environment.
Making this effort is so worth it.
It'll help you to drop into your rest state sooner and for longer.
I'll give you a few moments now to get ready.
Let's join back together.
Wherever you are,
Begin to soften down those eyes.
If you feel comfortable,
Allow your eyelids to begin to float downwards until they close softly.
And start by breathing deeply,
Just in and out through the nose.
We'll move into our sighing practice shortly.
And for this sighing practice,
Each breath will be an inhale through the nose,
Breathing as fully and as deeply as we can,
Followed by the biggest,
Noisiest and most satisfying sigh out through the mouth.
Let's begin.
Inhale now,
Breathing in through the nose deeply and filling up as much as your belly as you can until there is no space left in your belly.
When you're ready,
Sigh it out.
Let that breath flow out of your mouth with as much power and noise as you feel comfortable,
Visualising the cleansing power of the exhale as you release that tension and stress.
Let's do that two more times.
Inhale deeply,
Fill that belly.
And sigh it out.
Let go,
Letting your face relax,
Let your brows soften,
Let your mouth slacken.
One more.
Inhale deeply,
Fill the belly until there's no more space for any more breath.
And then open up the mouth,
Sigh it out,
Let go,
Let your shoulders drop and let your heart soften.
Soften.
Well done.
Take a softer breath now,
Breathing deeply in through the nose and out through the nose.
Soften your face.
And again,
Breathing deeply in through the nose and exhaling out through the nose,
This time softening your body.
And last one,
Taking another soft breath,
Inhaling deeply through the nose and releasing that breath out through the nose,
Softening your heart as you breathe out.
We're now on to our second round of our sighing breath.
As before,
We'll breathe in through the nose as fully and deeply as we can,
Followed by the loudest and most satisfying sigh expressed out through the mouth.
Let's begin.
Inhale with me,
Breathing in through the nose as deeply as you can,
Filling every corner of your belly until there is no more space for any more breath.
And when you feel ready,
Sigh it out through the mouth,
Letting that breath flow out of the mouth with as much power and a noise as you feel comfortable.
Again,
Visualising the cleansing power of the exhale and sighing out the tension and stress.
Two more times.
Inhale deeply and sigh it out.
Let go,
Letting your face relax,
Letting your brow soften,
Letting your mouth soften.
And one more,
Inhaling deeply inhaling deeply and sighing it out when you're ready,
Letting go,
Allowing your shoulders to drop,
Allowing your heart to soften.
Nice.
Take a softer breath now,
Breathing deeply in through the nose and out through the nose.
Soften your face.
And two more times,
Breathing in deeply through the nose and out through the nose,
Softening your body on the exhale.
And last round,
Breathing in deeply through the nose and out through the nose as you soften your heart.
And this is our last round of our sighing breath.
I want you to visualise any last remnants of stress and tension.
Where do they reside?
Is it in your forehead?
Your teeth?
Your shoulders?
Your neck?
Where does it reside?
Is it in your belly?
Be ready to let go of them now as you picture them.
We'll use our sighing breath to cleanse and wash.
As before,
We're using the breath in through the nose,
Followed by the biggest sigh out through the mouth.
Let's begin.
Inhale,
Breathing in through the nose as deeply as you can,
Filling every corner of your being.
And when you're ready,
Sighing it out through the mouth,
Letting that breath flow powerfully and noisily out of the mouth,
Using the cleansing power of the exhale to release the last of the tension and the stress.
Two more times.
Inhale deeply,
Sigh it out,
Let go,
Face relaxes,
Brow softens and the mouth softens.
One more big inhale in,
Big sigh out,
Let go,
Let your shoulders drop and let your heart soften.
How wonderful are you?
Take a softer breath now,
Breathing in through the nose,
Filling the belly gently,
And then out through the nose,
Softening the face as you breathe out.
And two more times,
Inhaling through the nose and releasing through the nose,
Softening your body on the exhale.
And last one.
Take a softer,
Deep breath now,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the nose,
Softening your heart as you breathe out.
Welcome home.
You're very loved.
Have a wonderful night.
