Hello and welcome!
Thank you so much for joining me for this guided visualization.
My name is Brittany,
Owner and founder of the Wild Sister Method,
If I haven't officially met you yet.
And so before we begin,
Just take an opportunity to really set up your space.
Perhaps you smudge the room you're in,
Run the diffuser,
Light some incense or a candle.
And then setting up so you will not be disturbed for the duration of this guided visualization.
And when you are ready to go ahead and find a comfortable resting position,
Either seated or lying down.
And then closing down your physical eyes.
Perhaps you use an eye pillow or eye mask to really help you settle in.
And then just beginning to become aware of your breathing.
Noticing the natural rise and fall of the abdomen as you happen to breathe.
And then starting to deepen your connection with your breath.
Starting to inhale all the way down into the low belly.
Exhaling completely.
Taking about three to five more of breaths just like this.
And then when you're ready to exhale completely,
Take a big deep breath in and exhale completely.
And then when you're ready to exhale completely,
Take a big breath in.
Hold your breath.
Visualize any tension,
Any stress pooling at the top of your head.
See if you can sip in a little bit more.
Hold.
Hold.
And exhale.
Sigh it out.
One more time.
Big breath in.
Hold.
Hold.
See that stress,
That tension,
That energy pooling at the top of your head.
Hold.
And then exhale.
Sigh it all out.
Letting it all go.
And then I want you to bring to mind your favorite food.
Release expectations.
Release judgments.
And just see and visualize your favorite food in your mind's eye.
Take note of what kind of energy this food has.
Why you love this food.
And how this food makes you feel.
And again,
Just releasing any expectations you have of yourself.
Release any judgments.
And then take it back.
When did this become one of your favorite foods?
Has this always been a favorite food for you?
Perhaps this food offered some comfort in a moment of sadness or loneliness.
Maybe this food made you feel joy.
And if nothing comes,
That's okay.
You can just pretend or imagine.
And now I want you to take your awareness back to childhood.
How did your parents or caregivers view food?
Did you see your parents or caregivers eating food for emotional support?
Was food merely a means of survival?
Was there inspiration and joy and a love for good food?
What was that relationship like?
How did your parents or caregivers view and use food?
And just taking that in.
Now,
Fast forward to today.
How is your relationship with food?
Again,
Release expectations,
Release judgments.
Just holding whatever comes up in a space of compassion.
Of kindness and grace.
Do you use food to cope with difficult emotions?
Do you use food as a source of inspiration for nourishment?
Do you use food as a source of inspiration for self-love?
Is food merely something to ingest to keep your body moving,
The energy flowing?
Is there a deep love and respect for food?
Again,
Just being open to whatever comes up.
And as these answers begin to arise,
Notice if there's any correlation between what you saw
growing up,
How food was managed or used,
And how you work with food now.
And now I want you to visualize yourself standing in a large,
Open room.
And to your right is a table full of fresh,
Vibrant,
Radiant,
Healthy food.
The table is covered with berries,
Fresh fruit and produce,
Lots of green kale,
Celery,
Beans and legumes,
Robust potatoes and beets,
Local beef,
Chicken,
And bison.
Fresh whole grains,
Eggs ranging from blue to brown,
And pitchers of fresh,
Sparkling water.
You take in the energy,
The beauty.
The life force,
The prana of this food.
It almost glows and radiates with a golden light.
How does this table make you feel?
Let go of expectations.
And then to your left,
You have a table full of processed foods,
Craft cheese slices,
Chocolate
bars,
Chips and candy,
Heavily processed sweets,
TV dinners,
Pre-made packaged frozen
meals,
Jugs of pop and juice.
And you take in the energy of this table,
Noticing its dull,
Grey,
Lifeless energy.
Almost as if you can see it decaying already in front of you.
Perhaps there's even flies hovering and surrounding it.
Just taking in the energy of this food.
Noticing how it makes you feel.
And as you stand between these two tables,
Notice which one calls to you.
Where does your body navigate towards?
Again,
Release judgments and expectations.
And then I want you to place your left hand over your heart.
Taking a moment here to commit to yourself.
To unlock the power food holds over you.
Take a big breath in.
Complete breath out.
And repeating to yourself,
Either out loud or in your mind.
I make the commitment to nourish myself with whole foods that support my body.
And nourish my physical,
Mental,
And emotional body.
If one of my favorite foods was on that grey,
Left table,
I know I have the power and the choice to make something just as good,
If not better.
From the table on the right,
Full of whole foods from this earth.
I understand the programming may not be mine.
But today I make the choice to heal my relationship with food.
So I can nourish my body with the sustenance and minerals and nutrition it needs.
So it is.
You can take a moment now to wiggle some fingers,
Some toes.
Begin opening your eyes.
Taking in your surroundings.
And perhaps you take a moment here to just journal about your experience.
What came up for you when you explored your food?
What relationship with food did you see growing up?
How is your current relationship with food?
Just letting yourself connect and write freely,
If that's okay with you.
And knowing that you can come back to this meditation at any time.
To help reprogram that relationship with food.
So you can nourish your body,
Your mind,
And your soul.
