It's a wonderful time to just prepare for spiritual practice,

Meditational practice at this time of the day.

At least in this part of the world things become more still.

There's been all sorts of interesting storms out there and for some people also the storms have been experienced in a personal way,

Either emotional,

Physical or even just as a storm of thoughts or a storm of,

For some people a positive storm of changing one's thinking so that you can give space,

One can give space to new thoughts.

This is often what the storm is all about when there are changes.

Sometimes we resist the changes thinking that the changes are negative or that the changes don't bring about a positive outcome but sometimes the changes are clearing the space to allow for a newness or a new beginning to happen or to be experienced.

This transmission today is about trusting the space,

Trusting the space that sometimes is stormy,

Sometimes is still being able to set in motion this attitude and feeling and physical,

Mental space of trust within one's practice,

Within one's experience of reality.

Trust isn't exactly what the mind believes trust to be.

We're taught trust this or trust that,

Just be there present to whatever is going on and trust which means basically the idea of trust is just to accept things as they are but actually deep deep and profound trust is also about acceptance but it's about accepting your reactions in the moment,

Your reactions to the situation.

So if there is a storm out there and your reactions or fear are what fill up the space,

What fill up the space of your thoughts or what fill up the space of your feelings then this is a clear indication that trust is not actually part of your experience,

You're not trusting because fear fills up the space with another perspective than trust.

Trust is about acceptance and acceptance in itself contains no fear because when you accept something then you are giving yourself totally to the situation and fear means that you are resisting the situation.

Very often when there is an attitude of fear in the mind or because your reactivity allows for certain feelings to come up and express themselves in a way where there is resistance so thoughts or mental thoughts or mental feelings are a clear indication that this fear is creating resistance meaning that you're not accepting the actual flow and if the flow is a storm of course there is wisdom to that,

There is a wisdom to not accepting perhaps too many changes because one needs to have one's feet on the ground and it's okay to take little steps one at a time but if the fear prevents one from moving forward and coming back to this state of deep acceptance and rather being occupied or caught up in fear then there is no acceptance.

So part of today's transmission is recognizing this because just by being mindful and recognizing that your reactive mind or the emotions or feelings that are within your thinking or within your body due to your thinking and creating the reactivity of fear or the reactivity of not trusting is part of the perspective of your work,

Your spiritual work or your challenge to transform yourself from a state of reactivity to a state of receptivity where you come back to a more profound peace,

More profound stillness within when you recognize this when you're mindful in the moment of your resistance and already that is a step that allows acceptance to go a little bit further,

A little bit deeper in communication to yourself than just resisting the fear which is always something that the mind doesn't quite understand.

The reason that there is fear or non-acceptance within the spiritual practice,

Within your meditation,

Within your communication to yourself or others or the world or the inner and more profound aspect of your inner world,

The reason for such,

The reason for resistance,

The reason that these challenges become so very much overwhelming one's perspective,

The reason behind all this is your own openness to the situation and if you begin to open to fear meaning that you're not reacting to the fear as if it is an enemy,

As if it is creating pain or suffering,

If you open to the fear then you realize very often in that moment that the fear has nothing to do with this moment,

It is something that you have pulled in from your past or that you're pulling in to this moment from your perspective of the future.

Many of us fear things that are totally irrational if we look at them from a logical perspective,

We're afraid of the future and so as soon as we become so caught up in that fear of the future and needing to control the future from our perspective of fear then of course the space of acceptance cannot happen and we remain caught in the dynamics of fear in a reactive way without knowing.

The mind is there challenged by the stress or by the anxiety of what this idea that you have of the future may entail,

What it means in your life and you're constantly thinking about what does it mean,

What does it mean to have this fear,

Oh it might mean that I don't have enough or it might mean that I will not find the purpose or the meaningful experience that life is all about and this is just simplification but of course it gets more complex,

The mind on the subconscious level begins to create its own body of thinking so we don't even recognize our thoughts,

Our thoughts are happening simply because the space is reactive,

Simply because we are caught and afraid of the storm and we're not accepting the storm for what it is.

There goes our mind thinking not because we need to perhaps move out of the storm's more aggressive aspect,

You know if there is a chair flying around the place and it's heading towards you of course you need to move away from that object because it will hurt you but sometimes you can imagine that there are hundreds of chairs blowing around the place because it's stormy,

I had this experience with someone the other day and you know the storm and they were thinking oh I'm sure that something is going on around the place because I can hear sounds and the sounds did sound like you know there were lots of things moving around and there was some physical aspect that needed attention but the mind created the understanding of those sounds to be objects that actually weren't there,

There was something else that was there and it didn't really matter but our mind becomes so preoccupied it hears a sound and then recognizes that sound as something within a reference,

An experience that has nothing to do with this present moment,

Has to do with the past and the future so the mind is nurtured by this dualistic perspective of time and space and isn't really able to be present in this present moment and that is what acceptance means,

You're present to this present moment,

You're not present to the present moment that is understood or experienced through your past or your future because many people say I'm feeling or I'm thinking and then I'm mindful that I'm feeling or I'm thinking and the mindfulness is yes of the experience but the experience is no,

Not of the present moment it is of the past and so then the storm gets to be more stormy because as soon as you bring the negative perspectives that the mind has hidden within the subconscious,

Within the layers of the brain that we don't understand,

That we don't have access to,

As soon as that becomes the natural way that you nurture your thinking or your feeling then not only are you caught in the future and the past but it seems natural to the mind,

It seems natural that this mode of functionality is what needs to happen so we think stress is normal,

We think anxiety is normal,

We think suffering is totally normal because everyone else around us,

Our references,

Our cultural social references show that that is what is normal but more importantly our minds have got used to thinking or feeling the experience or opening up to the experience in this way so if we have an emotion that is negative it moves,

The energy of the negative emotion moves into thinking of this negative emotion is,

It's not the present moment but is and then we identify it so already it moves away from whatever the emotion is all about because we've moved it from the part of the brain that can experience directly what is going on,

We've moved it to the left part of the brain,

The hemisphere that is used to conceptualizing the language hemisphere of the brain that is used to putting words to an experience so we think the experience is that word and that word is nurtured or the language part of the brain is nurtured by the very powerful forces that come not from this moment that are not part of the experience of the real storm that is happening but our perception of the storm and so the storm gets more stormy because our perception gets more focused on that which is believed to be reality so the mind is there thinking oh that noise must mean or that situation must mean and it seems very logical the deduction seems very correct because our mindfulness is present to the deduction but not the experience that's happening in this moment so there is no space,

The space is full of all the references of the past and the future that then continuously queue up to try to feed our perception of the present moment because the present moment is lost in our idea that reality is in the future and in the past and so the storm then becomes a negative any challenge from the present moment any challenge which is just an expansion of experience that's what challenge means an expansion of experience an invitation to learn any such experience is negated by the intensity and the power of the way that we sort information or communicate to the world and to ourselves which has nothing to do with real communication it is our own internal structure that creates such communication what a sad situation to be struggling with all one's life if you look at this means that we are constantly imagining situations and that imagination that we are imagining is the experience that we are having of reality and reality no longer has a voice no longer has a signal to communicate directly to the world that's happening within you in this moment this moment is forgotten because you're too preoccupied with the next moment and the next moment is too preoccupied with the moment after that there is like try to catch up with something that can never it can never happen because as soon as you catch up with one thing in the future there is another thing waiting out there to be sorted and the mind when caught in a storm or when caught in negativity or when caught in a situation where the mind is overwhelmed by the intensity of negative thinking and far removed from positive thinking then that becomes the addiction of our perception and we have no idea we have no remembrance that there is another mode of perception the other mode of perception perhaps we can remember in moments of sleep in moments of deep profound meditation when the expansion of this moment is embraced from acceptance you sit and meditate hopefully the mind isn't so preoccupied with tomorrow and the next day and what's going to happen or what has happened in the past hopefully you can come back to this beautiful state of acceptance which means that you accept yourself you accept your the core of your being hopefully you can come back here to this space but it's not enough to come back here because this space and its natural communication or its natural movement expands so when you come back here there is no here that is within the self there is no here that is within your thoughts or your feelings the here is an openness or an acceptance that embraces all and everything so then the storm becomes an adventure i remember as a little child watching the storm it was an amazing storm it was almost like a hurricane and i was so fascinated it was almost like a story for me and i was you know when children can't wait to go to sleep because they're waiting to hear the next chapter in the story that's being read out to them it was the same for me i couldn't wait for the storm to unfold so there was an excitement and that shows you shows you in your practice when there is this excitement when there is this sense of awe to learn more when there is this sense of adventure when there is this sense of openness this clearly defines your experience because it shows you that you have let go of fear but you can't be excited and happy to learn something new and at the same time afraid of it this is what is wrong with education in the world today you can't be afraid of opening yourself up to the infinite to your potential and at the same time be opening yourself self up to the infinite and the potential because the two are opposites so when you come back to this moment it is not enough to be self-focused it's not enough to look at all the communication within yourself you need to open up to reality and what is reality that is space in quantum physics it is the space that is in constant alignment with your deep inner truth and when you come back to this truth when you come back to the depth of communication that is real which is of course this present moment so the only reality that can be seen as real then reality communicates to you in its infinite wisdom in its intelligence the next learning that needs to happen so if there is no fear there is an openness to learn there is an openness to embrace knowledge and the knowledge is not out there but it is here in the space and as you recognize this then the next thought that comes up comes up with this reference of acceptance so doesn't mean that you're not going to fear the storm your mind will think oh there is a storm out there but your reference is grounded in the present moment and in this expansion and this excitement to learn more and to be open to the learning in a more profound way and to reach out for your potential in a more interesting way than what you're used to what the mind is used to what the emotions are used to the reactive means that you are fearful the receptive means that you're excited and peaceful the reactive means that there is a negative frame of mind that dictates the way that you think the way that you feel the receptive means that you are embracing the positive natural positivity that is part of the structure of every human being every little child is born positive and when you embrace that space of reality where the communication is not just a self-dialogue that you're having with yourself or the concepts of thoughts and language forming to identify experience and try to comprehend what experience is but when the experience is just so very profound that you can align yourself to the information that's within this present moment then there is so much to learn and no time to waste only when you are fearful only when you are negative do you waste time when you come back to positivity there is so much excitement there is so much adventure that there is no time to waste simply because there is no time in this present moment time doesn't exist so as you breathe in today and breathe out and let go of the mundane of the negatives of whatever it is that you're feeling or whatever it is that creates stress or anxiety as you come back here to the positivity of communication the positivity of being in touch with that which is going on inside of you and around you then notice how you accept things for what they are rather than try to change them that is wisdom so as you breathe in breathe out and let go remember that we get angry and upset and negative because the mind isn't functioning in a proper way we forgive ourselves in situations around us people that do us wrong or we perceive that are doing us wrong when the mind is functioning in a wonderful way but the most profound way to allow for the mind to function is to simply accept which means ignoring everything that creates reactivity and embracing all that allows for positivity as you breathe in and breathe out let go and come back to the natural vibration within your body as you breathe

l love the selected music which plays as an introduction only at the beginning. It is very beautiful and relaxing. The sound of waves and birds gently singing in the background, during the speaking portion of the meditation, is ideal. The spoken message about fear and mindfulness is very insightful and most helpful. There was only one thing that didn't work for me. At the end of the talk, when the author stated that one should ignore one's reactivity, it just felt wrong to me. Perhaps I am missing the point, but I use my reactivity as a tool to recognize my unconscious beliefs so that I can then begin to observe and work with them. Perhaps a clarification or restatement of the thought would be useful. Overall an excellent experience, I will be using this one often.

I enjoyed this โ€œtalkโ€ for about 10 minutes then all the words started to run together because they were repetitive and spoken very fast. I got a lot out of the beginning so I was bummed that the rest of it became so monotonous. It was lovely to that point. Maybe less words, more spaces, slower paced? Thank you. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Very nice! ๐Ÿ’–Although I enjoyed this very much, it is more of a talk and then a three minute meditation at the end I will definitely listen to this again
