Welcome,

My name is Vanessa Loder,

And I love supporting women in creating more sustainable success without all of the hustle and overwhelm and exhaustion.

So today's meditation is gonna help you make a mindset shift to go from hustle,

Push,

Go,

Go,

Go,

Mind racing,

Never enough,

Overwhelm,

To a state of flow,

Satisfaction,

Ease,

Being at peace with yourself and what you accomplished that day.

There's a companion audio on Insight Timer here that's a talk that I give about going from hustle to flow.

So if you want to try out the talk as a companion to this meditation,

I would recommend that.

Sitting comfortably,

Allowing your eyes to gently close.

Start to arrive in the present moment.

Begin by connecting with your breath.

And it can help to actually make the sound ah,

As you exhale two or three times to help you connect with the heart chakra.

So let's do that together.

After you inhale,

Ah,

Ah,

Ah,

Beautiful.

Even if it feels silly to do that out loud,

That sound of ah connects you to your heart chakra.

And so asking all the parts of your consciousness to arrive in this present moment.

Perhaps even allowing the corners of your mouth to tilt upward in a little bit of a smile.

As you breathe into your heart space,

If you'd like,

You can place one or both hands on your heart.

Simply send your breath into the heart center with each inhale.

Just for this little while that we do this today,

Have nothing to worry about.

So enjoy the way that feels to not have anything to worry about.

And enjoy the way it feels to have relaxation moving through the body.

With each inhale,

Visualizing or imagining that you're inhaling a calm,

Peaceful energy.

Filling your whole body,

Your whole being with a sense of relaxation.

This is a luxury that very few people allow themselves.

To take a few moments out of your busy day to just relax.

So enjoy the way that feels to not have anything to worry about.

And enjoy the way it feels to have relaxation moving through the body.

And deepening your connection with the heart center now as you continue to send your breath there with each inhale.

If you'd like,

You can visualize or imagine there's a little pilot light in the middle of your heart space.

And with each inhale,

That light gets a little bit brighter,

A little bit bigger.

And it keeps growing bigger and brighter with each inhale as you send your breath into the heart center.

Until that white light has filled your whole heart space.

Now I'd like for you to take a moment and call to mind a recent example when you were in hustle mode,

Thinking,

I just got to crank it out,

Or I'm going to crush it or push through.

You were rushed,

Perhaps at work trying to do a lot of things at once,

Or as a parent with your children,

Or even just running errands or cleaning the house.

Take a moment and call to mind an example when you were in hustle,

Cranking it out,

Pushing through,

Crushing it.

What does it feel like?

Look like,

Taste like,

Even smell like when you're in hustle.

Take a moment to get a felt sense of that in your body.

What are you saying to yourself when you're in hustle?

What fears or beliefs are running the show?

And whose voice is that?

And some people like to journal immediately after asking these questions.

So if you feel called,

You can pause the recording to write down some of your answers,

Or you can simply stay in a relaxed state.

Just getting curious,

What does it feel like?

Look like when I'm in hustle,

What am I saying to myself?

And now shaking that off,

I like to do a little whole body shimmy,

Connecting back into your heart center,

Again,

Visualizing or imagining that pilot light growing brighter and brighter as you inhale and send breath into the heart space.

And now ask yourself,

Hmm,

When is the time that I was in flow?

Call to mind a time when you were in flow.

This could be an example from work.

It could be an athletic pursuit or in your personal life,

Or when you were painting or doing some activity where time went by so quickly.

So think of a time when you were in flow.

When you're in flow,

What does it feel like?

Look like?

Taste like?

What does it even smell like?

What are you doing when you're in flow and who are you with,

If anyone?

What are you saying to yourself when you're in flow?

What words or phrases describe how you show up or how you feel when you're in flow?

And simply repeating this affirmation to yourself,

I have plenty of time for everything I want and need to do today.

I have plenty of time for everything I want and need to do today.

So the next time that you notice yourself or observe yourself in hustle mode,

See if you can make a conscious choice to move into flow.

You can even heart storm some shift moves that you could make to go from hustle to flow.

I talk about that more in the talk that I give on going from hustle to flow.

You can listen to music,

Go for a walk,

Just simply call to mind and experience from the past when you were in flow.

So coming back to this present moment,

Feeling gratitude for yourself,

For cultivating a sense of relaxation,

Ease,

And maybe even flow during this meditation.

And remembering that the next time you feel rushed or like you're pushing yourself,

Cranking it out,

Hustling,

You can actually be intentional about shifting into more of a flow state.

And you can always use the affirmation,

I have plenty of time for everything I want and need to do today.

So may you go from hustle to flow more and more often today and every day.

I'm sending you so much love on your journey.

Namaste.

I love the idea of shifting from hustle to flow - or as I think, from hustle to slow. I actually stopped and did some journaling. Great pace and energy! Thank you!

Thank you! Going back to school this year in the midst of our challenges with Covid and Hurricane Ida was very hard. I want to rest after a week of work but I kept thinking of work. This helped me get calm and realize that what needs to get done will get done. 🙏
