Hello,
My name is Steven and today we'll be going through a process for releasing and sitting with procrastination or maybe just any feeling of stagnancy around some kind of work that you feel you must do.
So that said,
I invite you to find your most comfortable seat.
It can take a moment,
Maybe roll the shoulders out,
Roll the neck out,
Adjust the sitz bones.
Or if you're lying down,
You can just lay a blanket on top of you.
Find yourself comfortable.
And once you're in that space,
You can just come to your natural breath.
The breath in a pattern where you don't even have to effort it.
Can you follow this breath?
Can you notice whether it's deep or shallow?
Whether it goes down into the chest or the belly or maybe into other areas of the body.
And in this moment,
I just invite you to feel what it might be like to be in your center,
To be open to receiving any wisdom from yourself during this meditation.
Maybe just know or notice what that feels like in your body,
In your energy field.
That feeling that you can just relax and let go of the shoulders.
Notice any tension you may be holding in the chest,
In the abdomen.
Relaxing the lower body and the feet.
And from here,
I just invite you to begin to deepen the breath.
You can breathe in for counts of five.
Hold at the top and release for a slow count of five as well.
Again,
Breathing in,
Filling yourself up with calm and relaxation.
Taking a second to pause at the top and allow yourself to just slowly release.
Again,
Breathing in,
Tracking that breath,
Noticing the stillness at the top of the breath and allow yourself to just let go slowly.
And from here,
I just invite you to take the next seven rounds on your own.
Feeling into this on each exhale,
Allowing yourself to become more and more receptive to what we're going to be exploring.
If at any moment you find yourself being distracted,
You can notice that,
Make note of it and come back to the tracking of the breath.
Full compassion here.
Thank you.
And from where you are,
I just invite you to come back to the natural breath,
Come back to your place of center,
Maybe noticing the points,
The areas of your body that are in contact with any object,
Be it the floor,
The chair,
The cushion you're on,
And just notice that contact.
And as you rest in this space,
I just invite you to bring up what is it that is stressing you out.
What is this thing that you have to work on?
When you think about this thing,
Where in the body can you feel this?
Without needing to change anything about it,
Can you just notice it with love and compassion?
If this feeling,
If this sensation had a voice,
What would it tell you right now?
What does it want to feel instead?
With this work that you need to do,
Is there any level of force here?
If so,
What would it look like to either give yourself some space for recalibration,
For comfort play,
Or to incorporate some level of play into the work that you're doing?
Can you imagine what that might feel like?
Take a moment to just feel the lightness of play in your body.
Maybe noticing the openness of it.
Maybe even allow yourself to crack a smile.
A lot of the times,
We pick up a lot of seriousness around work due to our conditioning,
Our programming from society,
As well as our parents.
But where you are now,
What if it were safe to bring all of who you are to your work?
To bring that playful,
Livable self that you are?
And from here,
I just want to invite you to join me in a process to direct some of our own energy into our solar plexus.
So from where you are,
I just invite you to imagine that at the base of your spine is this golden sacred liquid.
And as you breathe,
As you continue to deepen your breath,
You are drawing this golden liquid up your spine and into your solar plexus area.
So as you breathe,
Bring your attention to your solar plexus,
The area at the top of the navel,
Close to the sternum.
Continuing to deepen the breath,
Drawing that fluid up the spine and letting it fill up the solar plexus.
Maybe even picturing just a bright golden sun in this area,
Expanding,
Filling you with joy and glee and play,
Knowing that the work that you're going to do is going to help others,
Is going to help move you forward.
That the work you're doing,
Going through the process of it,
Is leading you to a new version of yourself.
Can you feel into the beauty of that?
And from here,
I invite you to just draw up that golden liquid up the spine a little further into the heart,
Into the throat,
Letting it clear any energy,
Any stockness,
Any fear.
And let this energy travel all the way up to the crown of the head,
Allowing it to just emerge out of the heart,
Knowing that as you do your work,
You are connected to spirit,
Your higher self.
And if stress comes up,
This is an opportunity for you to turn to the parts that feel stressed heavy,
Burdened,
Feared,
And to love them,
To learn from them and integrate them.
So let's just take a moment to set an intention for your work today.
You can set an intention maybe to be present with your body and your breath,
To be aware of how you feel,
To set an intention for joy,
For curiosity,
Learning,
Whatever you feel called to set an intention for joy.
And from here,
I just invite you to bring your attention to your heart center.
And from here,
We'll just take a few deep breaths through the heart and start by drawing in a deep breath,
Filling yourself up with peace and slowly exhale peace.
Again,
Drawing in an inhale peace and slowly exhaling peace.
Breathing in peace and exhaling peace.
Breathing in and exhaling.
And the close can just take a moment of gratitude for your entire body and scan from the top of your head down all the way to your feet,
Thanking your body for any messages that it gave you during this process,
Any guidance it gave you during this process.
And when you're ready,
I invite you to just make some gentle movement.
And when it feels right,
You can open your eyes.
Thank you so much for meditating with me.
I'm so grateful for you.
Wishing you the best of luck with the work that you are doing.
Take care.
