You are made of stardust from the universe and minerals from mother earth and therefore you are full of wisdom.
Welcome to Grounded with Wendy.
Though you seek answers outside yourself,
You are full of wisdom.
Your cup overflows with answers to life's most difficult questions.
As we all have done,
We give our agency away to habits,
Culture,
Harmful traditions,
And misguided advice.
They aren't all bad,
Of course,
But you,
Dearest one,
Are a study of one,
A unique and gifted soul.
What do I mean by this?
I mean that no one else has lived your story,
Not your teacher,
Not your neighbor,
Not your friend or your colleague,
Your minister or rabbi,
Your brother or sister.
No one else has your fingerprint or your precious gifts of your experiences.
Yes,
Of course,
We are similar and we are all walking this journey called life together.
So this is not about going it alone.
Rather,
It is about going inside to your untapped,
Ripe,
And very,
Very wise self.
How do we tap into our wise self?
In today's practice,
We'll connect our breathing,
Followed by asking ourselves a question or two.
We're going to use breathing with the universe and the earth to center ourselves.
I invite you to close your eyes now.
First,
Just notice your breath.
Simply feel the air moving in and out of your nose.
If it feels good and right,
I invite you to rest a hand on your heart to connect to your center.
Today,
I'd like you to picture breathing in and out through your heart.
I'll walk through this pattern briefly and then we'll do it together.
As you breathe out,
I want you to picture your breath moving from your heart and up through your head into the universe.
As you breathe in from the universe,
Breathe it into your heart.
As you breathe out,
Down through your legs,
Out your toes,
And into Mother Earth.
As you breathe in from Mother Earth,
Breathe into your heart.
Breathe out of your heart,
Up,
And through the top of your head,
Into the universe.
I ask you to just repeat this for a few breath patterns.
From the heart,
Up through the universe.
From the universe,
Into the heart.
From the heart,
Through the legs,
Through the toes,
Down into Mother Earth.
From Mother Earth,
Up into the heart.
In this way,
We are connecting with intention.
We are connecting the wisdom of our heart with the wisdom of the universe,
And the wisdom of our heart with the wisdom of Mother Earth.
Let go of that pattern now,
And just soak in a little bit of this energy that you've called forth.
If your hand is still at your heart,
Drop it to your lap if you haven't already.
As you bathe in this connection that you have made from above and within,
And from below,
This love of the universe,
This love of Mother Earth,
Both infused into your heart.
And if there's any wisdom that might be coming to you from the universe,
Or from Mother Earth,
Or from your heart center,
If there's something that wishes to be shared with you,
It's okay if silence ensues.
It's okay if your mind is busy.
Just sitting here and practicing and thinking about the universe and our heart center,
And Mother Earth and our heart center,
Can allow us in to a deeper connection.
The hours and moments throughout the day to perhaps re-center ourselves,
And ask for wisdom in that moment.
One of the things I love about this practice is that we are tapping into a love that is without bounds.
There are no boundaries here.
There's a flow from above,
In through our heart,
Down into Mother Earth,
Back up to our heart,
And up into the universe.
And so it flows.
As you walk through your day,
Remember you are made of stardust from the universe,
And minerals from Mother Earth.
And therefore,
You are full of wisdom in your heart.
