Welcome to this special Oasis in Time with Yokita Maggie.

Something has led you to this guided meditation on the healing heart.

Our hearts hold so much power,

Not just in terms of our physical health,

But also in terms of our emotional well-being.

Our hearts have the incredible ability to radiate energy and healing throughout our entire body.

It's believed that the heart has a memory of its own,

Just like the brain does,

And that negative emotions and traumas can be stored in the heart's memory,

Affecting our overall health.

During this meditation,

We will focus on releasing any negative emotions or memories that may be stored in your heart's memory and replacing them with love and compassion.

Research has shown that emotions like love,

Compassion,

And gratitude can have an incredible positive impact on our physical and mental health.

In this meditation,

We will be using the power of visualization and deep breathing to tap into the healing energy of your heart and radiate it throughout your entire being.

As you go through this meditation,

You will be guided to imagine yourself in a serene and peaceful environment and to release negative thoughts,

Feelings,

And memories that may be causing you pain or discomfort.

By the end of this meditation,

You should be left feeling calm,

Peaceful,

And filled with love and compassion for yourself.

Let us begin.

Find a comfortable spot to lie down,

A comfortable and quiet place where you can sit or lie down undisturbed.

Place a bolster or a pillow under your knees.

And if you have a weighted eye pillow,

This is an excellent time to use it,

Or even a scarf over your eyes.

If desired,

You can use a blanket to keep yourself cozy.

Allow your arms to relax down by your sides with your palms facing up.

Take a few minutes now and get to a comfortable place where you won't feel like moving or fidgeting to get comfortable later.

Once you're settled,

We will move into a breathing exercise that will activate your parasympathetic nervous system,

Allowing your body to rest and digest with ease.

Close your eyes.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through your nose and then slowly out through your mouth.

As you exhale,

Release any tension or stress you may be holding in your body.

Now,

With pursed lips,

As if you're sucking through a straw,

Take a deep inhale.

As your belly expands,

Hold your breath at the top of the inhale and then exhale through the nose and allow your body to release any areas of tension.

Again,

Inhale through slightly parted lips.

Sucking in fresh life force energy,

Hold your breath briefly at the top and now exhale slowly through the nose.

Return to your normal breathing and now allow your body to soften and spread.

Sink into whatever you're lying on.

One more time.

Inhale slowly through parted lips.

Expand your belly in all directions.

Hold at the top.

Exhale through the nose.

Release and let go.

Last time.

Inhale deeply through parted lips and hold your breath at the top.

Exhale through the nose.

Return to normal breathing.

Let your body melt.

Just float here for a moment.

Visualize a warm and soothing light covering your body,

Starting at the top of your head and slowly moving down to your toes.

This starts out as a white light for everyone and you can visualize it turning into whatever color that represents healing energy for you.

Visualize this colored light,

Healing energy,

That will help to soothe and calm your mind and body.

Now focus your attention on your heart.

Imagine a warm and loving energy flowing into your heart,

Filling it with a sense of love and compassion.

Visualize me sending a ray of light from my heart space to your heart space.

And as we connect,

It fills your heart with a sense of love and compassion.

This energy is here to help heal any emotional wounds or pain you may be holding onto in your heart.

Feel the heartbeat of the energy.

Chest soft,

Open,

Gentle breath.

This energy of relaxation,

Of healing,

Swirls around your heart,

Flows into your arms,

From the shoulders down to your elbows.

Feel the top of your arms surrender.

From your elbows to the wrists,

Release.

Feel the weight of your forearms,

Supported on the earth.

This healing energy flows into your hands,

Softening your palms,

The back of your hands,

Your thumbs,

Pointer fingers,

Middle fingers,

Ring fingers,

Pinky fingers.

All soft,

Open,

Receiving.

This energy now flows down into the solar plexus,

Inside your rib cage,

Softening the sides of your body and feeling all the muscles along your spine.

Release all the way down to your lower back,

To your tailbone.

Feel the weight of your torso on the earth.

Feel your body melt.

This energy flows into the hips,

Into the glutes.

The pelvic floor releases,

Your hips release.

Feel the weight of your hips on the earth.

Relax the tops of the thighs,

The back of the thighs,

The knees,

The calves and the shins.

Feel the weight of your legs,

Soft on the earth,

Supported.

This energy flows into your ankles,

Relaxing the tops of your feet and the soles of your feet.

Relaxing the big toes,

Second toes,

Third toes,

Fourth toes,

Fifth toes.

Bring your awareness of the energy that is in the back side of your body.

Feel roots starting to grow out of the back of your body.

These roots grow and seek the dirt around the rocks,

Through the murky waters and they connect to the energy at the core of the earth.

These roots are strong and feel the nutrients that they are gathering from the core of the earth.

This molten,

Nutritious,

Healing energy starts to seep up through the base of the roots,

Back up through the murky waters,

Weaving through any obstacles and they support the strength of the roots,

The journey of the roots.

Feel this energy as it now connects back up along the back side of your body.

Now flooding your body with healing energy from the center of the earth,

With wisdom,

Experience,

Insight and the knowing,

The knowing of yourself,

Your forgotten knowing of all things.

Bring your attention now to the top side of your body.

Above your heart space,

A beautiful lotus flower starts to open up and bloom from the top of your body over your heart space,

Supported by your roots from the center of the earth.

From all of your trauma and emotional energies,

This lotus flower blossoms.

See the water droplets glisten and sparkle as they roll down the petals.

Feel gratitude for all of these obstacles that have nourished you along your way.

For all of the drama,

For all of the trauma,

This actually helped nourish you to get to your place today.

Float here,

Breathe deeply.

Imagine yourself surrounded by a peaceful and serene environment.

It could be a beautiful garden,

A secluded beach or any place that brings you a sense of tranquility.

Float here,

Let yourself become so fully immersed in this beautiful environment.

Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the gentle sweet smelling breeze flowing through your hair.

As you continue to focus on your heart,

Imagine any negative thoughts,

Feelings or memories that may be causing you pain or discomfort.

See them now as only dark clouds that are passing through your body and mind.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep inhale and as you exhale,

Visualize all of these dark clouds releasing.

Release these negative thoughts and feelings and allow them to be carried away by the gentle breeze.

As you continue to breathe deeply and release these negative thoughts,

Imagine a bright and shining light emerging from your heart.

This light represents love,

Compassion and healing energy for yourself.

As this light grows stronger,

Imagine it spreading throughout your body,

Filling you with such a sense of peace and well-being.

As you continue to focus on your heart,

Imagine any loved ones who may have hurt you in the past.

See them in your mind's eye now and send them energy,

Love and forgiveness.

As you do this,

Imagine the pain and hurt that they caused you slowly fading away.

You're moving on.

It's replaced by a sense of inner peace and understanding.

Continue to focus on your heart.

Perhaps it's not a loved one who has hurt you in the past.

It could be anyone.

See them now in your mind's eye and also send them love and forgiveness.

It takes too much energy to carry this in your heart.

Release now.

Picture the pain and hurt that they caused you just slowly fading away.

Replace now for you with such a sense of inner peace and understanding.

As you continue to breathe deeply and release any pain or hurt you may be holding in your heart,

Imagine yourself surrounded by love and compassion.

Remember,

You are still tethered to my heart space.

Feel the warmth and comfort of my love as it flows through your body,

Healing and soothing your mind and heart.

Just float here in peace.

I will tell you about my favorite mantra that has had such meaning in my life.

The mantra Om Mani Padme Hum is a powerful and ancient chan that has been used for centuries in Buddhist meditation and practice.

Translated,

It means hail to the jewel in the lotus and repeating it is believed to bring peace,

Wisdom and compassion to the mind and heart.

Reciting this mantra is said to help clear the mind and focus the thoughts,

Allowing for a deeper connection to the present moment.

It is also believed to help purify negative thoughts and emotions,

Leading to a greater sense of inner peace and well-being.

The repetition of this mantra has a soothing effect on the mind and the body,

Helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

It opens the heart and cultivates compassion for not only oneself but for others.

Did you know that incorporating Om Mani Padme Hum into your daily practice can be a powerful tool for personal growth and spiritual development?

Whether you recite it during meditation while practicing yoga or simply throughout the day,

This mantra can help bring balance and harmony to the mind,

Body and spirit.

I'm going to repeat it a few times and if you want you can repeat it with me.

Take a few more deep breaths.

Wiggle your fingertips.

Rub your thumbs across the ends of your fingertips.

Wiggle your toes.

Gently rock your head from side to side.

Coming back to breath,

Back to your human body.

Slowly turn over to your right side.

Take a moment to embody gratitude for showing up here today for yourself and for others.

As you have opened your lotus flower,

As you show your beauty and resilience to this entire world,

Share your story.

Be vulnerable.

You are a warrior.

You are strong.

You are wise.

Take a few more deep breaths and when you feel ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

Remember you can come back to this peaceful place and this feeling of love and compassion whenever you need to.

Press up slowly to a comfortable seated position.

Look around.

Be present.

Bring your hands to prayer in front of your heart.

Bowing in gratitude to the universe.

Just be here for a moment.

Take note of any emotions or thoughts that came up during this meditation.

It really helps to journal about them if you feel like it.

That might be a practice you consider if you don't do it already.

Remember to be kind and compassionate with yourself and to give yourself the time and space to heal.
