For when you're feeling low - perhaps a sense of helplessness - let this practice give you permission to rise. Through an active circular breath pattern you'll clear sensations of restriction, acknowledge what feels dim/dark, then down regulate your nervous system to welcome in a sense of hope and possibility. I hope you allow your life to be more than you ever thought it could be.

I hope you press back on the limiting thoughts that made you cling so tightly to the worlds you've already outgrown.

I hope you listen to the little calling in your heart that knows what's really true,

Even if your mind doesn't understand how it might be possible.

I hope you will consider that maybe there's more available to you than you even know to ask for.

I hope you will let yourself be expanded,

To see that there are others just like you,

Taking big leaps in the direction you always hoped to go,

But,

But have just been waiting on the courage.

Brianna Weist In each of us,

There lives both light and dark.

Living with these dualities is part of the cycle of life.

It's what gives contrast so that we can know the other.

Of course,

Living in the darkness or facing your shadow is not always pleasant,

But when we linger long enough and surrender to the moment,

There's an opportunity to find a gift in its teaching.

Rejection is redirection.

We can't always operate in spring and summer.

We need the seasons of fall and winter to allow things to die so something can be reborn.

We need the seasons of rest in order for us to recharge and flourish,

Just like we need the dark to be able to appreciate the things that are light.

Today's invitation is to breathe into the spaces of your life where you feel hopeless or maybe even lost.

We'll start breathing in and out of our mouth.

Take a breath hold at the top,

Lungs full of air.

We'll switch to nasal breathing.

Breathing in through your nose,

Exhaling nose or mouth,

And then take a final breath hold,

Emptying the lungs at the bottom.

Find yourself a comfortable position,

Sitting tall or lying down,

Bringing your eyes to close.

Taking these first few breaths to arrive in your body.

Feeling your fingers,

Your toes,

With every breath allowing any tension in your shoulders to release,

Any gripping in your body to dissolve,

And really being with yourself right here,

Right now.

Let's begin.

Inhale through your mouth.

Exhale,

Let the breath go.

That's it.

Deep breaths all the way down into your belly.

Where do you need to create space?

It's okay to be here.

It's okay to feel.

How does the darkness feel in your body?

Where are those places?

Send the breath there.

Keep breathing.

You're doing great.

Lean into the discomfort.

Time is impermanent.

This is temporary.

Coming into your breath hold.

Inhale,

Fill up your lungs.

Exhale,

Let it go.

Last time.

Inhale,

Fill up your lungs.

Hold your breath at the top.

Starting to inhale through your nose.

Exhale,

Nose or mouth.

Take up space.

Feel yourself expand.

Breathe in a sense of hope.

Feel the inspiration of opportunity wash over you.

Call in how you want to feel.

Feel into your dreams and what it means to live life on your terms.

Coming into our final breath hold.

Inhale,

Fill up your lungs.

Exhale,

Let it go.

Last time.

Deep inhale,

Fill it fully.

Exhale all the air completely.

Hold your breath at the bottom.

What does hope feel like?

When you're ready,

Slowly breathe in.

Return to your natural breath.

So much of what we take on through our lived experiences is just the distraction.

It's just what gets in the way.

And when you clear it,

You come home to you.

You remember what's already here,

What's always here.

As you go on with the rest of your day,

How can you choose curiosity over fear?

And when you feel lost,

Remember you can always come back to your breath.

Thanks for taking the time for you.

I'll see you again soon.
