Only knowing remains.
Rather than presenting reincarnation as a belief or teaching,
This reflection invites listeners into a direct experiential noticing of the timeless awareness in which all experience appears.
Right now,
Before any story about a past life or a future life,
Notice what is here.
Sounds may be present,
Sensations in the body,
Emotions arising,
And thoughts appearing.
And all of it is simply known.
Notice this knowing does not need a history.
It does not describe where it came from or where it will go.
It is simply here,
Now.
Ideas about birth may arise,
Ideas about death may appear,
Or stories of a person moving through time.
And yet,
Before any story is believed,
There is already this simple fact.
Behind all experiences,
Behind every point of view,
What remains constant is not an identity,
Not a story,
Not a memory,
Not a belief,
But timeless knowing.
Throughout human history,
There have been stories about returning,
Continuing,
Living again.
Stories of past lives,
Stories of future journeys,
Stories that offer comfort or raise questions.
And right now,
Notice that these,
Too,
Are thoughts appearing.
Images,
Ideas,
Memories,
Imaginings,
All arising and being known.
There is no need to confirm them and no need to deny them.
Just notice they appear within the same field of timeless and inseparable knowing.
Now,
Quietly look closer.
What exactly is the story that is said to continue?
Is it the body constantly changing?
Is it the personality shifting and evolving?
Is it a fading memory,
Appearing only now as thought?
Right now,
Notice how the senses of me appears.
Perhaps as a feeling,
Perhaps as an image,
Perhaps as a quiet narrative in the mind.
And all of it is known.
The story changes,
Roles come and go,
Identities form and dissolve.
And yet,
Knowing does not move with the story.
Right now,
Notice sounds come and go,
Sensations arise and fade,
Thoughts appear and disappear.
But knowing itself is not arriving with each experience.
And it does not depart when experience ends.
Let this reflection soften now.
No more analysis,
No more questions.
Awareness is not arriving and it is not departing.
Life unfolds within itself,
Moments rising and falling within one silent presence.
Birth appears,
Death appears.
Moments within the whole never separate from what holds them.
Right now,
Notice that knowing itself is not moving as experiences change.
Nothing needs to continue,
Nothing needs to return.
Stories may arise about before and after,
Yet knowing remains untouched.
No past to carry,
No future to secure.
Just this simple,
Present knowing.
Right now,
Nothing needs to be understood.
Nothing needs to be believed.
Nothing needs to be resolved.
Just this simple knowing.
What is eternally aware has never entered time and has never left it.
Thank you.
