Welcome to the Pause of Breath.
Take a moment to pause,
Breathe,
And tune into the moment.
In the rush of daily life,
It's easy to lose touch with the present moment.
But a single,
Intentional breath can bring us back to clarity and peace.
So begin by finding a comfortable position,
Whether seated or lying down.
Allow your hands to rest naturally and gently close your eyes.
Let's settle in.
Take a deep breath in,
Feel your body expand,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any stress or tension.
Just feel your body beginning to relax now,
And become aware of your breathing,
Slow and gentle,
In and out.
Follow your breathing in and out as you relax and settle in still more.
Let your shoulders and neck area relax,
Your arms,
Back,
Abdomen,
Hips,
Legs,
And feet.
Relax and breathe.
Tune into the present moment.
Continue focusing on your breath.
Without changing it,
Just notice it.
Where do you feel the breath the most?
Perhaps it's the coolness of the air as it enters your nose,
The gentle rise of your chest,
Or the sensation in your belly.
Now invite your breath to deepen just slightly.
Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale fully through your mouth.
Do this a few times.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale fully through your mouth.
Inhale.
Feel your belly expand and exhale through your mouth,
Letting go.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow your awareness to settle on this present moment.
The sound of my voice,
The rhythm of your breath,
The sensations in your body.
This moment is your anchor.
When your mind begins to wander,
As it naturally will,
Gently guide it back to your breath,
In and out.
There's no need to judge or force.
Simply notice and return to your breathing.
Continue in your own rhythm now for a few more cycles.
And once more,
Inhale deeply and exhale fully.
Wonderful.
Now take a moment to reflect.
How does it feel to simply pause and breathe?
What happens when you allow yourself to be without needing to do?
You might notice a sense of calm or clarity,
Or perhaps just a momentary quietening of your mind.
Whatever you feel is perfectly okay.
This is your experience.
Breathe in deeply one more time,
And as you exhale,
Bring your awareness back to the room.
Roll your shoulders if that feels good,
And gently open your eyes and feel awake,
Alert,
And refreshed.
Carry this feeling of presence into the rest of your day.
Remember,
In any moment of rush,
One intentional breath can bring you back to peace.
Namaste,
My friend.
